Overview
GoldEdge Asian Sweep is a rules-based Expert Advisor built for XAUUSD. Its logic was developed and tested using historical price data.
The Expert Advisor is designed around a session-based liquidity concept: the Asian session typically trades in a narrow, low-volatility range. When the following session opens, price frequently pushes beyond this range before failing to hold and reverting back inside it. This Expert Advisor is built to identify and trade those failed extensions, rather than chasing the initial move.
Entry logic
GoldEdge Asian Sweep does not open a trade on every bar. Before a position is opened, the Expert Advisor requires several conditions to align: the Asian session range must first be recorded and locked, price must extend beyond that range and then close back inside it, and momentum must show early signs of weakening in the direction of the reversal rather than continuing to extend.
The Expert Advisor also checks that the Asian range itself was calm enough to qualify as a genuine consolidation before considering any setup; unusually wide ranges are skipped, since they no longer represent the low-volatility conditions this strategy is built around.
Only one setup is considered per trading day. Depending on market conditions, some days produce a valid setup and others do not. This is part of how the entry logic is designed.
Trade management
How each trade is managed after entry:
The Stop Loss is set just beyond the extreme of the failed extension, adjusted for recent market volatility.
Depending on the settings chosen, position size is either calculated from a risk percentage and the distance to the Stop Loss for that trade, or set as a fixed lot size.
Each signal is split into three separate targets, so parts of the position can close at different levels instead of all at once.
After the first target is reached, the Stop Loss on the remaining positions is moved to the entry price plus a small buffer, to help account for trading costs.
If the terminal disconnects or restarts, GoldEdge Asian Sweep reloads its saved state and checks what happened while it was offline.
The Expert Advisor does not use grid or martingale techniques, and does not use unlimited recovery cycles. Each position is sized and managed independently from entry to exit.

How it works
Attach GoldEdge Asian Sweep to an XAUUSD chart and set the desired risk percentage or fixed lot size.
The Expert Advisor records the Asian session range, then monitors price action during the following session for a failed extension beyond that range.
When a valid setup and its confirmation are met, GoldEdge Asian Sweep calculates position size and opens a position split across three targets.
Each position is managed automatically, including the Stop Loss adjustment after the first target.
