GDS Gold Continuation
MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisor for XAUUSD
Overview
GDS Gold Continuation is an automated Expert Advisor designed specifically for XAUUSD. The strategy uses a multi-timeframe continuation model. H1 qualifies the broader market state, while M30 refines the entry timing.
The trading core is long-only, holds no more than one position at a time and uses a time-based exit after 24 completed M30 bars, approximately 12 hours. The strategy does not use grid, martingale, averaging or recovery orders.
Main features
- XAUUSD-focused continuation strategy
- H1 market-state qualification and M30 entry timing
- One position at a time
- Long-only execution
- Time-based holding model of approximately 12 hours

Risk sizing
The factory setting is Balanced 10%. Position size is calculated from a historical drawdown reference. The percentage is a sizing parameter based on historical testing. It is not a guaranteed maximum future drawdown.
Available sizing modes
- Historical drawdown reference
- Fixed lot
- Balance-scaled lot
Included reference presets
- Conservative 5%
- Balanced 10% - factory default
- Growth 20%
- Aggressive 30%
Setup
1. Attach the Expert Advisor to an XAUUSD chart.
2. Enable algorithmic trading.
3. Start with the factory Balanced 10% profile or select another risk preset after testing it with your broker.
4. The Expert Advisor reads H1 and M30 data internally. The chart timeframe does not control the strategy logic.
Important notes
Historical tests are not a guarantee of future performance. Broker specifications, spread, commission, swap, execution and market conditions can change results. Test the Expert Advisor with your broker and chosen risk settings before live use.
The minimum tradable lot can be larger than the calculated risk size on small accounts. When this occurs, the on-chart panel displays a minimum-lot notice.
