BTX Scalper
BTX Scalper is an Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5 built on a proprietary price-action engine. It evaluates candle structure, volatility and recent price levels to find entry points, then manages the trade either as a single position or as a series of averaging layers. Exits are handled virtually by the EA, so the terminal must stay online while it works.
Signal profiles
The "Mode Signal Entry" parameter selects one of four signal profiles: two reversal profiles (Reversal Candle and Reversal candle v2) and two trend-following profiles (Trend candle and Trend MA). The profiles differ in how early they react and how much confirmation they require. Reversal Candle is the default. Modes marked "-" are reserved and do not open trades.
Trading hours and direction
New entries are taken only inside the trading time window, which can be set globally or separately for each weekday. Open positions are managed at any time. The "Mode Entry" parameter allows buy and sell together, one direction at a time, buy only, or sell only.
Position management
- Mode BOT: Single Entry or Martingale. In Martingale mode the EA adds a layer when price moves by "Distance" against the last position.
- Lot Calculation Method: built-in lot table, progressive lot from StartLot and Multiplier, or fixed lot.
- Smart Hedging (optional): an alternative layering mode that works on both sides of the market, with Reduce Factor controlling the size of the additional volume.
Exits
- Virtual take profit and a trailing stop that follows the average price of the basket (Normal TL or Smart TL).
- Lock profit (optional): places a real stop loss on the server to secure profit once the move is extended, then trails it.
Risk controls
- Auto Cut Loss and Auto Cut Profit based on the floating result in account currency.
- Daily profit and loss target by money or by percent of balance. When a target is reached, the EA closes its positions and pauses new entries until the next day.
- Max Daily Signals to limit the number of new entries per day.
Units
Distance, Take Profit, Trailing Start and Trailing Step are in pips on 3- and 5-digit symbols and in points on other symbols. For example, on gold quoted with 2 digits, a Distance of 30 equals 0.30 in price.
Requirements and recommendations
- Hedging account type.
- Suggested minimum for default settings: a cent account with 50,000 USC (500 USD).
- Run the EA on a VPS or a computer that stays online, because virtual levels are handled by the terminal.
- Test the EA on your broker's symbol in the Strategy Tester and on a demo account before live trading.
Risk notice
Martingale and averaging increase total volume while price moves against the open positions. A long move without a pullback can cause a large drawdown or a margin call. No server-side stop loss is used by default. Set Auto Cut Loss and a daily loss limit that suit your balance. Backtest results do not guarantee future results.
