Nasdaq OPR — Pre-Open Range Breakout for the Nasdaq 100

Nasdaq OPR trades one precise moment of the day: the minutes just before the New York cash open, when the Nasdaq 100 starts to choose its direction. The robot measures the range formed between 9:15 and 9:25 New York time, then trades its breakout on the M5 chart, long or short.

How it trades

  • Opening range: 9:15–9:25 New York time (15:15–15:25 Paris)
  • Entry: breakout of the range on M5, in both directions
  • Stop loss: 3× the size of the breakout candle, with a 50-point minimum
  • Take profit: 3× the risk (3R)
  • Break-even: the stop moves to entry once the trade reaches 1R
  • US market holidays are skipped automatically
  • Every trade has a hard stop loss and take profit from the moment it opens

What it does not do
No martingale, no grid, no averaging down, no hidden stops, and no indicator stacking.
