MSNR is a Malaysian SNR indicator for MetaTrader 5. It finds support and resistance levels from candle bodies on D1, H4 and H1, shows which of them are fresh, and adds a dashboard with the current session and the storyline.
1. A and V Levels
Levels are taken from candle bodies, the same points that form peaks and valleys on a line chart.
- A shape (resistance): a bullish candle followed by a bearish one. The level is the higher of the first close and the second open.
- V shape (support): a bearish candle followed by a bullish one. The level is the lower of the first close and the second open.
Levels are searched in the last 12 daily, 16 four-hour and 12 one-hour candles. Daily levels are shown on every chart, H4 levels on charts up to H4, H1 levels on charts up to H1.
2. Open-Close Lines (OCL)
The open of a candle and the close of the candle before it, drawn as dotted lines. OCL can be switched on separately for D1, H4 and H1, each with its own lookback.
3. Merged Levels
Levels that are closer than 0.05% to each other are merged into one line. The label lists every timeframe and type that formed it, for example "D,H4 A,V".
4. Fresh, Tested, Broken
The status of every level is checked on the current candle.
- Fresh: price has not reached the level. Full line width and color.
- Tested: the wick touches the level and the body stays on its side. The line becomes thinner and faded.
- Broken: the candle body moves beyond the level. The line is removed.
A touch is counted within 0.1% of the level.
5. Labels
Each line has a label with the timeframe and the type of the level. The status mark and the price can be added in the inputs.
6. Dashboard: Session
The current session in GMT: Asia, London, New York, London KZ and NY KZ. A kill zone is shown instead of the session while it is active.
7. Dashboard: Storyline
The storyline follows the MSNR method and uses closed candles only.
- Rejection: a higher-timeframe candle touches a fresh A or V level of that timeframe with its wick and closes its body back. The dashboard shows BULLISH (pending) or BEARISH (pending).
- Confirmation: a lower-timeframe candle then closes beyond its latest A or V level in the same direction. The dashboard shows BULLISH or BEARISH.
- Reset: a higher-timeframe candle closes beyond the rejected level.
The Weekly row uses weekly levels confirmed on H4. The Daily row uses daily levels confirmed on H1. A simpler mode, the direction of the current weekly and daily candle, is available in the inputs.
8. Appearance
Label text, the dashboard and faded lines adapt to the chart background: a light dashboard and dark text on a light chart, a dark dashboard and light text on a dark chart. Level colors are set in the inputs.
9. Inputs
