Universal Trade Manager MT4

Universal Trade Manager MT4 is a compact on-chart trade management utility for MetaTrader 4.

It is designed for traders who open or already have BUY and SELL market positions and want fast access to essential trade-management functions from one panel.

UTM4 does not generate trading signals and does not automatically decide the initial live market entry. The trader remains responsible for the trading decision.

UTM4 includes three preset management modes.

SCALPER

Stop Loss: 300 pips

Default Take Profit: 600 pips

TP1: 300 pips

TP2: 600 pips

TP3: 900 pips

Trailing Distance: 200 pips

Trailing Step: 50 pips

Martingale Step: 300 pips

INTRADAY

Stop Loss: 600 pips

Default Take Profit: 1200 pips

TP1: 600 pips

TP2: 1200 pips

TP3: 1800 pips

Trailing Distance: 400 pips

Trailing Step: 100 pips

Martingale Step: 600 pips

SWING

Stop Loss: 1200 pips

Default Take Profit: 2400 pips

TP1: 1200 pips

TP2: 2400 pips

TP3: 3600 pips

Trailing Distance: 800 pips

Trailing Step: 200 pips

Martingale Step: 1200 pips

These presets are starting values only.

The practical meaning of pip distance varies between Forex pairs, metals, indices and other CFD symbols. Users should review and adjust the values for the symbol and broker specification they trade.

When these values are changed manually, the panel switches to CUSTOM configuration while preserving the user's values.

Stop Loss Management

UTM4 provides three manual Stop Loss methods:

PIPS

POINTS

PRICE

PIPS applies the entered value as a pip-based distance from the trade entry price.

POINTS applies the entered value using the symbol's MetaTrader point size.

PRICE allows the user to enter an exact Stop Loss price.

The requested level is checked against the current market price and broker stop/freeze restrictions before modification.

Take Profit Management

The normal TP button applies the configured Take Profit distance to all managed positions within the active scope.

Tiered Take Profit

UTM4 also provides TP1, TP2 and TP3 management.

TP1 attempts to partially close the position using the configured percentage. The default value is 70 percent.

TP2 closes the remaining position.

TP3 can close all currently managed positions when the TP3 condition is reached.

Partial closing depends on the broker's minimum lot and lot-step requirements.

Very small positions may not support the requested partial-close percentage.

When Tiered Take Profit is enabled and TieredTPClearBrokerTP is enabled, the ordinary broker-side Take Profit is removed from managed positions so that the panel can manage the tiered exit logic.

MetaTrader 4 must remain running for terminal-managed TP1, TP2 and TP3 actions to operate.

Trailing Stop

Trailing Stop can be enabled or disabled from the panel.

Trailing Step

For BUY positions, the Stop Loss only moves upward.

For SELL positions, the Stop Loss only moves downward.

The system does not intentionally move an existing Stop Loss to a worse level.

Break Even

The Break Even function moves the Stop Loss toward the original entry price.

An optional BreakEvenOffset can be configured.

Partial Close

The 50% button attempts to close approximately half of each managed position.

The actual volume must comply with the broker's minimum lot and lot-step requirements.

Close All

Close All closes every open BUY or SELL position that matches the current management scope.

Users should confirm the selected symbol and Magic Number filter before using this function.

Multi-Layer Position Management

UTM4 can manage multiple open BUY or SELL positions that match the active management scope.

This allows Stop Loss, Take Profit, Break Even, partial close and other management functions to be applied even when several trade layers are open.

Martingale

UTM4 includes an optional Martingale-style layering function.

Martingale is disabled unless the user enables it.

The function does not create the normal initial live trading decision.

A base position must already exist.

When enabled, the system can add another position in the same direction after price moves against the latest position by the configured Martingale Step.

The next volume is calculated using the configured multiplier, subject to broker volume rules, maximum lot settings and available margin.

Martingale can increase exposure and drawdown significantly.

Users should understand the risks of position multiplication before enabling this function.

Managed Trades

UTM4 manages open market positions:

Pending orders are not managed.

Management scope is controlled by:

CurrentSymbolOnly

MagicNumberFilter

CurrentSymbolOnly limits management to the current chart symbol when enabled.

MagicNumberFilter allows the user to control which positions are included.

A value of 0 is commonly used for manually opened MetaTrader 4 positions.

A value of -1 includes all Magic Numbers.

Users should use broad filters carefully because functions such as Close All apply to all matching positions.

Persistent Settings

UTM4 stores its working configuration using MetaTrader terminal global variables.

Changing chart timeframe does not intentionally reset the current panel configuration.

The selected mode, editable management values, toggle states, current panel tab and panel position are preserved.

Broker-Aware Operation

UTM4 reads symbol properties directly from MetaTrader 4, including:

This helps the utility adapt its order-management calculations to different broker symbol specifications.

Actual execution remains subject to the broker's trading conditions and symbol settings.

Strategy Tester Support

UTM4 supports MetaTrader 4 Visual Strategy Tester operation.

During Strategy Tester operation only, two additional buttons are available:

TEST SELL

These buttons create a base test position using TesterBaseLot so that management functions can be evaluated on historical data.

TEST BUY and TEST SELL are not displayed during normal live or demo chart operation.

Requirements

MetaTrader 4.

AutoTrading must be enabled when the utility needs to modify, close or create positions.

MetaTrader 4 must remain running for Trailing Stop, Tiered Take Profit and Martingale management.

No DLL is required.

No WebRequest is required.

No external files are required.

No external licensing system is used.

Limitations

UTM4 is a trade-management utility.

It does not provide market-entry signals.

It does not predict market direction.

It does not guarantee trading results.

Pending orders are not managed.

Broker restrictions may prevent a requested Stop Loss, Take Profit or partial-close operation.

Very small positions may not support percentage-based partial closing.

Preset distances should be reviewed for each instrument and broker.
