Makito SMC is a Smart Money Concepts market-structure indicator for MetaTrader 5. It helps traders analyze price structure, swing points, potential institutional zones, imbalances, and important market levels directly on the chart.
The indicator automatically identifies internal and external market structure and labels confirmed Break of Structure (BoS) and Change of Character (CHoCH) events. It also displays swing-based blocks, Fair Value Gaps, areas of interest, rolling highs and lows, and automatic Fibonacci retracement levels.

Market Structure
Makito SMC monitors confirmed swing highs and lows to determine market structure.
A Break of Structure is displayed when price closes beyond a recognized structural level in the current structural direction.
A Change of Character is displayed when price closes beyond a structural level against the previously detected direction, indicating a possible shift in market behavior.
Internal and external structures have separate sensitivity and display settings. Traders may display all structure events or limit the chart to BoS or CHoCH events.
Swing Blocks
The indicator creates bullish and bearish zones around confirmed external swing points. These zones highlight areas where price may react when revisited.
The number of active blocks, zone depth, transparency, and visibility can be adjusted through the indicator inputs.
Fair Value Gaps
Makito SMC identifies three-candle bullish and bearish price imbalances.
Fair Value Gap zones remain extended toward the current market until they are filled. Traders may also enable partial contraction so a zone becomes smaller as price enters it.
Areas of Interest
The indicator calculates upper and lower areas of interest using recent candle bodies and market volatility. These areas provide additional context for potential premium, discount, reaction, or liquidity zones.
Rolling Levels
Optional rolling levels display:
- Previous four-hour price extremes
- Previous 24-hour price extremes
These levels may help identify nearby liquidity, breakout targets, or possible reaction areas.
Automatic Fibonacci Levels
Makito SMC automatically draws Fibonacci retracement levels between the latest detected external swing points.
Available levels:
- 0.236
- 0.382
- 0.500
- 0.618
- 0.786
Each level can be enabled or disabled independently.
Session and Activity Panel
The on-chart panel displays the estimated active trading session and the next session. It also compares current four-hour and 24-hour tick volume with their previous equivalent periods.
Volume activity is classified as:
- Very Low
- Low
- Average
- High
- Very High

Suggested Usage
Makito SMC can be applied to forex, gold, indices, cryptocurrencies, and other instruments supported by MetaTrader 5.
It can be used on different chart timeframes:
- M1–M5 for detailed internal structure
- M15–H1 for intraday analysis
- H4 and above for broader market structure
A typical approach is to determine the external direction first, then use internal BoS or CHoCH events, Fair Value Gaps, swing blocks, and rolling levels to refine an entry area.
For example, during bullish external structure, a trader may wait for price to revisit a bullish block or Fair Value Gap before looking for bullish confirmation. The opposite approach may be used during bearish structure.
Important Notes
Signals and zones are based on confirmed price data and historical swing calculations. A newly identified pivot requires candles on both sides before it can be confirmed.
Market-structure labels, blocks, gaps, and Fibonacci levels are analytical references and should not be treated as guaranteed trade signals. Always apply independent confirmation and appropriate risk management.
