SMC Volume Profile Regression Channel builds a statistically-fitted price channel (linear or polynomial regression) around your chart, then overlays real-time volume pressure and a right-side volume distribution profile — so you can see structure and participation in a single view instead of switching between tools.
WHAT IT DOES
— Plots a regression channel (linear or quadratic curve fit) with adjustable standard-deviation bands, rebuilt continuously as price evolves
— Colors candles automatically based on whether price is trading above or below the regression bias line
— Draws inward volume-pressure bars inside the channel, scaled by ATR, showing buy vs sell volume pressure bar-by-bar
— Marks boundary-touch events with diamond markers whenever price reaches the outer bands
— Renders a cumulative volume profile on the right edge of the chart, split into buy/sell volume by price level
WHO IT'S FOR
Traders who use regression channels, volume profile, or SMC-style structure analysis and want them working together instead of as three separate indicators cluttering the chart.
PARAMETERS
Regression Channel Configuration
- Regression Horizon — number of bars used to fit the channel (default 236)
- Band Deviation (SD) — how many standard deviations wide the channel bands are (default 2.0)
- Channel Curve Model — choose Linear Fit or Polynomial (Quadratic) regression
Inward Volume Flow Bars
- Volume Baseline Period — bars used to calculate the volume moving average baseline (default 15)
- Inward Bar Scale (ATR) — controls how tall the volume pressure bars render, scaled to ATR (default 2.1)
- Base Bar Width — default thickness of volume bars (default 5)
- Highlight Boundary Volume Flares — highlights high-volume bars near the channel edges
- Flare Volume Threshold — volume ratio required to trigger a highlight (default 1.0)
- Boundary Margin Zone % — how close to the band edge counts as a "boundary" flare (default 40%)
Cumulative Right-Side Profile
- Display Side Volume Profile — toggle the volume profile on/off
- Profile Resolution (Rows) — number of horizontal bins in the profile (default 36)
- Max Horizontal Length (Bars) — maximum width the profile can extend (default 30)
- Row Thickness — thickness of each profile row (default 10)
- Show Outline Geometry — toggle outline lines around the profile
Visual Theme & Palette
- Paint Candles by Channel Bias — toggle candle coloring on/off
- Bullish / Bearish / Low Volume / Channel colors — fully customizable to match your chart theme
