Prop Firm Ready
Neptune was built with funded account rules in mind:
- News filter: Automatically pauses trading before and after high-impact news events. Configurable timing and impact levels. Optional position closing before news.
- Variable entry timing: Randomizes trade entry by a configurable number of seconds to avoid pattern detection.
- Post-trade cooldown: Enforces a waiting period between trades to stay within daily trade frequency rules.
- Fixed lot sizing: Option for fixed lots with per-strategy scaling, as required by some funded programs.
Strategy
Neptune trades with the trend, not against it.
The BUY strategy operates on M30, waiting for multiple independent conditions to align: trend structure, momentum confirmation, and trend strength validation. If those conditions are not present, Neptune does nothing. Quality always comes before quantity.
Two SELL strategies use the same core logic but operate on faster timeframes (M5 and M15).
Position flipping allows Neptune to close and reverse when the market turns, exiting gracefully and immediately opening a trade in the opposing direction. This allows us to ride sharp reversals instead of hitting a full stop loss.
Active Trade Management
Once in a trade, Neptune actively manages the position.
A trailing stop activates once the trade reaches a set percentage of the take profit target. Your stop loss moves into profit and follows price as the move extends. Activation point and trail distance are fully configurable.
A dynamic take profit system monitors real-time volatility during the trade. If momentum weakens, the overall profit target is pulled closer to secure gains before the move exhausts.
Risk and position sizing automatically scale with gold's price, keeping exposure consistent whether gold is trading at $2,000 or $5,000.

Important Notes
No set files needed. Adjust the risk, enable sells if you choose, and run.
Due to broker minimum lot sizes, smaller accounts will experience higher risk per trade. Backtest results may vary by broker due to differences in data feeds, spreads, and execution. Always test on your own broker before going live.
Update while the market is closed (weekend) or after 19:00 broker time. There is a function in place to disable trading for the day if you reattach the EA during the trading session. Do not update while trades are open.
If you override the default risk settings and overleverage, Neptune has a built-in circuit breaker that stops new trades if equity drops 50% from day start.
Roadmap
Suggestions under exploration: self-adapting market regime detection that automatically adjusts behavior as market conditions evolve, enhanced overextended trend detection, key support and resistance level awareness, anti-martingale position scaling, and multi-pair expansion (XAGUSD, XAUEUR, and more).
We don't promise features until they're tested. But we do promise Neptune will keep evolving.
Transparency
There is no such thing as a perfect EA. Every system has its strengths and weaknesses.
Neptune is designed for momentum-driven gold markets. It is not built to force trades through extended flat or low-volatility conditions.
There is no history reader or manipulation of backtest data. What you see in testing is the same logic the EA executes live.
When market conditions change, Neptune will adapt.
