Introducing XAU Bot, a clean, rule-based breakout robot built for traders who want transparent logic and strict risk control, with no grid, no martingale and no averaging down.


How it works
XAUBot scans recent price history for confirmed swing highs and swing lows, meaning a high or low that stands out over a set number of bars on both sides. It then places a Buy Stop above the last swing high and a Sell Stop below the last swing low, so it only enters when the market breaks out of a structure. Every trade has a fixed Stop Loss and Take Profit from the moment it opens. Unfilled orders expire automatically, and once a trade is in profit a trailing stop locks in gains.

Key features

  • Four market presets: Forex, Bitcoin, XAUUSD (Gold) and Indices. The right SL/TP/trailing logic is applied for each.
  • Risk-based position sizing: set the percentage of balance to risk per trade and the EA calculates the lot size from your stop distance.
  • Margin protection: lot size is capped to your free margin, and the EA skips an order instead of sending one the broker would reject.
  • Smart trailing stop: it respects the broker’s minimum stop distance, freeze level and spread, so there are no “Invalid stops” errors.
  • One buy order and one sell order at a time: no stacking of positions.
  • Pending order expiry: old orders are cancelled after a set number of bars.
  • Works on any timeframe: tested on EURUSD H1 and XAUUSD D1

Recommended settings

  • Symbols: Primarily XAUUSD, Bitcoin, and Indices.
  • Timeframe: We recommend M15 or higher. If you're a scalper (M1, M5) risk shall be managed properly. 
  • Minimum deposit:  It has been tested on deposits as small as 10 USD. For extra safety, however, we recommend higher timeframes for small deposits. For example, for a 10 USD account, the ideal timeframes would be M30 or H1.
  • Risk Management: We recommend risking from 0.25% to 0.75% of Equity.
  • Account type: any (netting or hedging). A low-spread broker is recommended.
  • VPS: recommended for 24/7 operation and timely performance.

Installation

  1. Attach the EA to a chart of the symbol you want to trade.
  2. Select the matching market type in the inputs.
  3. Allow algorithmic trading and leave the default settings for your first run.
