Daily Loss, Trailing Drawdown, News Filter & Auto Protection for prop firm accounts, manual trading and EAs: one tool guards the whole account and alerts your phone.
Built for prop firm rules, and just as useful on any personal account: Risk Manager Ultimate watches the equity of your whole account and acts when your own rules, or your prop firm's rules, are about to be broken. It opens no trades of its own. It does not matter who opened the positions: you by hand, one EA or several EAs on different charts. One copy on one chart protects the whole account.
WHO IT IS FOR
- Manual traders: a daily loss limit that really stops you. When the limit is hit, everything is closed and the account stays locked until the next day, so there is no revenge trade. A daily profit target does the same on a good day: the profit is closed and kept.
- EA users: an independent safety net above your robots. If an EA runs away, loops or loses more than planned, Risk Manager Ultimate closes its positions and keeps closing anything it opens. It needs no access to the EA and no magic number.
- Prop firm traders: ready rule sets for FTMO, FundedNext and FundingPips, with the daily loss limit, the maximum loss limit (static or trailing), the profit target and the news window calculated the way the firm calculates them.
BRAKES
- Daily loss limit: today's loss, closed and open together, is measured against your limit. At the limit every position is closed, pending orders are deleted and the account is locked until the next trading day.
- Maximum loss (drawdown) limit: static below the initial balance, or trailing below the highest end-of-day balance, the highest balance or the highest equity. When it fires, everything is closed and the tool stays locked until you reset it.
- Profit target: when the account reaches the target, everything is closed and locked, so the result cannot be given back.
- Daily profit target: when today's profit reaches your goal, everything is closed and the account is locked until the next day.
- Lock: while a brake is on, any new position or pending order, opened by you or by an EA, is closed again at once.
- Safety margin: the tool acts before the limit by a margin you choose, to leave room for slippage.
- Day start time: set the hour at which your broker's or your firm's trading day begins.
ALERTS ON YOUR PHONE
- Up to five loss levels of your choice, as a share of the loss allowance used (for example 20, 50, 80 %). You are told when a level is passed and again when the account recovers below it.
- Up to five profit levels of your choice (for example 1, 2, 3 % of the balance), announced in the same way.
- Quiet time: a level that keeps being crossed back and forth is not repeated within a time you set (default 30 minutes). A higher level is always announced at once.
- Every brake, the news warning and the start of the tool are announced too.
- Three channels: alert window with sound in the terminal, push notification to the MetaTrader app on your phone, and optionally a Telegram message.
NEWS PROTECTION
- Reads the high-impact releases of the currencies you choose from the built-in economic calendar.
- Advance warning (default 15 minutes before) and a countdown to the next release in the panel.
- Flat mode: closes everything shortly BEFORE the news window starts, so that no stop or target can be filled inside it. Prop firms forbid opening and closing inside the window, so the tool never closes inside it.
- Funded prop presets carry the firm's window: FTMO Account 2 minutes before and after, FundedNext and FundingPips funded accounts 5 minutes. Challenge stages have no news restriction. With Custom you set the minutes yourself.
- The tool uses every high-impact release of your currencies. This is a wider list than a firm's own restricted list, so it is on the safe side.
PANEL
- Status in plain words and colours: active, locked (and why), watch only, news window.
- Initial balance, balance and equity.
- Today: result, the equity at which the daily brake fires, and the room that is left.
- Total: result, the equity at which the maximum loss brake fires, and the room that is left.
- Target: the equity to reach and the amount still needed.
- Open positions and pending orders, and the result if every stop loss is hit.
- A warning when a position has no stop loss.
- The next news release with a countdown.
- Hover over a line to read what it means.
MORE
- Watch-only mode: shows everything and alerts, but closes nothing. Good for getting to know the tool or for alerts only.
- Friday close: close everything at a set time on Friday and stay flat over the weekend.
- Survives a restart: the initial balance, the day's start values and a lock are remembered.
- New challenge / new period: one input resets the stored state.
- Strategy Tester demonstration: in the tester the tool opens sample trades so that you can watch the brakes work before you buy. On a live chart it never opens a trade.

- FundingPips 2-Step Standard (5 % daily): Phase 1, Phase 2, funded
- Custom: every value by hand, for any broker, any firm or your own rules: daily limit measured from the balance, the equity or the higher of the two at the start of the day; percentage of the initial balance or of the day's start value; static or trailing maximum loss.
Prop firms change their rules, and one firm can run several programmes with different rules. Always check the current rules of your own firm and programme and compare them with the line shown in the panel.
HOW TO USE
1. Attach Risk Manager Ultimate to any one chart of the account. Algo Trading must be on.
2. Choose a preset, or Custom with your own limits. Start with watch-only mode if you want to see it first.
3. For phone alerts enter your MetaQuotes ID in Tools > Options > Notifications and enable push notifications.
4. Leave it running on a computer or VPS that stays on.
PLEASE READ
- The tool closes with market orders. In a gap or a very fast market the closing price can be beyond the limit. It reduces risk; it cannot guarantee that a limit is never touched. A larger safety margin gives more room.
- It only works while the terminal is running and connected.
- News protection and phone alerts are not available in the Strategy Tester.
- Screenshots show example values on a simulated 100,000 USD account.
