Product Overview
KTA BUY SELL ALGO is an automated trading Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5 (MT5), developed under the Trading With Kushal (KTA) brand.
The EA uses a dual Exponential Moving Average (EMA) crossover strategy to identify potential BUY and SELL trading opportunities. It is designed for traders who want to automate their trading rules while maintaining control over position sizing and risk-management settings.
The EA includes configurable Stop Loss and Take Profit levels, optional trailing-stop functionality, a high-impact USD news filter, and an on-chart profit-and-loss dashboard.
No trading strategy can guarantee profits. Results depend on market conditions, broker execution, spread, slippage, and the user's configuration.
Key Features
-
Automated EMA Crossover: Uses Fast EMA 9 and Slow EMA 18 to identify potential entry signals.
-
BUY and SELL Controls: Enable or disable BUY and SELL trading independently.
-
Fixed Lot Size: Default fixed volume of 0.04 lots, adjustable in the EA settings.
-
Stop Loss: Default 500 points.
-
Take Profit: Default 1,200 points.
-
Optional Trailing Stop: Can be enabled and configured by the user; disabled by default.
-
High-Impact USD News Filter: Uses the MT5 economic calendar to help restrict trading around qualifying news events.
-
Pre-News Trade Management: Can close EA-managed positions and delete pending orders before configured high-impact news events.
-
Opposite-Signal Management: Optionally closes an existing opposite-direction position when a new signal occurs.
-
Margin Protection: Checks estimated margin requirements before opening a trade.
-
On-Chart P/L Dashboard: Displays current floating P/L and today's closed P/L for the EA on the current symbol.
-
Magic Number: Identifies trades managed by this EA.
Trading Strategy
The EA uses the relationship between two EMAs:
-
BUY signal: Fast EMA crosses above Slow EMA.
-
SELL signal: Fast EMA crosses below Slow EMA.
Signals are evaluated using completed candles, with strategy execution limited to once per new candle. Trade entries are subject to the EA's enabled settings, news protection, and margin checks.
The EA does not guarantee that every crossover will lead to a profitable trade. EMA crossover systems can generate false signals during sideways or volatile markets.
Risk Management
Risk management is an essential part of automated trading. The EA provides configurable controls, but users remain responsible for choosing appropriate settings.
-
Position Sizing: Adjust lot size according to account equity, available margin, and risk tolerance. The default 0.04 lot setting may be too large for some accounts.
-
Stop Loss and Take Profit: The default settings are 500 points for Stop Loss and 1,200 points for Take Profit. Actual monetary risk and reward depend on the symbol's contract specifications, tick value, and broker.
-
Trailing Stop: Disabled by default. Users can enable it after testing the appropriate distance for their trading instrument.
-
News Risk: The news filter can reduce exposure around qualifying USD events but cannot prevent all news-related slippage, gaps, or losses.
-
Margin Protection: The EA checks estimated margin availability before submitting a new trade. This does not eliminate the risk of margin calls or stop-outs.
-
Demo Testing: Test the EA on a demo account and use the MT5 Strategy Tester before considering live trading.
-
Capital Protection: Trade only with money you can afford to lose. Consider reducing lot size and limiting daily exposure.
Recommended Use
The EA can be configured for instruments such as XAUUSD (Gold) and other symbols supported by your broker. Suitable settings depend on the instrument, timeframe, account type, spread, and execution conditions.
The EA does not promise a particular return, win rate, or level of profitability. Backtesting and forward testing are recommended before live deployment.
Important Risk Disclaimer
Trading Forex, Gold, CFDs, and other leveraged instruments involves substantial risk and may result in the loss of some or all of your trading capital.
Past performance does not guarantee future results. Market conditions can change, and automated trading systems may experience drawdowns, consecutive losses, execution delays, and slippage.
This Expert Advisor is a software tool, not a guarantee of income or financial success. It does not provide personalized financial advice. Users are responsible for their trading decisions and settings.
