LineTrader Pro – Plan. Size. Execute. Manage.
LineTrader Pro is a manual trade execution, position-sizing, and trade-management utility for MetaTrader 4.
It combines visual trade planning, flexible position sizing, pre-trade validation, deliberate execution controls, and live trade management in one MT4 panel.
You choose the setup. LineTrader Pro does not generate trading signals or decide market direction. It helps you place the trade structure on the chart, calculate position size, execute the order, and manage the position with clearly defined controls.

Plan the trade visually
Create Buy or Sell trade lines directly on the chart. Position the Entry, Stop Loss, and Take Profit levels and review the trade information before execution. LineTrader Pro supports both Market Orders and Pending Orders and determines the appropriate pending-order type from the direction and Entry location.
Choose how position size is calculated
LineTrader Pro supports three position-sizing methods:
- Fixed Lots
- Fixed Risk amount
- Risk percentage of Account Balance
The active sizing method is displayed on the chart. If a Fixed Lots value is below the broker minimum, LineTrader warns the user and blocks the trade rather than silently increasing the lot size.
Use pre-trade validation
Before an order is submitted, LineTrader Pro checks conditions such as AutoTrading status, trading permission, server connection, trade-line geometry, risk values, broker lot restrictions, margin, stop-level requirements, and spread conditions. The panel shows READY or NOT READY so the trader can see whether the setup is currently eligible for execution.
Use deliberate execution controls
Optional second-click confirmation changes Execute Buy or Execute Sell to Confirm Buy or Confirm Sell before the order is sent. A separate confirmation option is available before closing a live trade. The Buttons Locked control adds another protection against accidental actions.
Manage Market and Pending Orders
Market Orders use the live market for Entry while the trader positions the Stop Loss and Take Profit. Pending Orders allow the Entry line to be placed at the desired future price. LineTrader Pro automatically determines Buy Stop, Buy Limit, Sell Stop, or Sell Limit from the setup.
Pending orders can be cancelled manually from the panel. An optional setting can also cancel a pending order if price reaches the planned Stop Loss or Take Profit area before Entry is triggered.
Auto Take Profit
Auto TP can position the Take Profit using a selected reward-to-risk multiple. The default is configurable. When commission is entered, LineTrader can include the estimated commission cost in the reward calculation. Auto TP can also be turned OFF for manual Take Profit placement.
Breakeven management
Breakeven AUTO displays a movable trigger line. When price reaches that trigger on a live trade, LineTrader moves the Stop Loss according to the configured Breakeven settings.
Breakeven can also be turned OFF. When a trade has moved far enough into profit, the MOVE TO BE NOW control provides a two-step manual Breakeven action. The resulting Stop Loss can include configured Lock-in Points and an estimated commission adjustment.
Trailing Stop management
LineTrader Pro provides two trailing methods:
- PercentTSL, based on a percentage of the original Entry-to-Stop-Loss distance
- ATR(500)TSL, based on ATR(500) multiplied by a configurable factor
Trailing Stop can be turned ON or OFF from the panel. Before the trade has reached Breakeven, the trailing logic waits for sufficient favorable movement before making its first protective Stop Loss move. After that move, the Stop Loss continues to trail at the selected distance as price moves favorably.
Chart visuals and persistence
Optional shaded Buy and Sell trade rectangles help show the planned trade area. Consecutive rectangles are trimmed when necessary to reduce overlap.
LineTrader Pro is designed to resume management of an existing LineTrader trade after common chart changes, including timeframe changes and removal and reattachment of the EA. The trader should still verify the panel state after any chart change.
