RSI Buy Sell Signals

RSI Buy Sell Signals is a short-term trading indicator for MetaTrader 5 that combines the RSI Overbought/Oversold concept with Envelope price levels to identify potential Buy and Sell opportunities.

The indicator is designed for traders looking for clear Forex signals, scalping signals, intraday trading signals and trend reversal setups directly on the MT5 chart.

Its main principle is the confirmation between price action and RSI momentum.

When the market becomes oversold, the indicator waits for price to recover through the lower Envelope. When the market becomes overbought, it waits for price to move back below the upper Envelope.

This combination helps filter ordinary Envelope crosses and focuses on situations where price movement is supported by an extreme RSI condition.

Buy Signal

A potential Buy signal is generated when:

• RSI is below the selected Oversold level.

• Price crosses upward through the Lower Envelope.

• The Envelope crossing conditions are confirmed by the current price data.

A green Buy arrow is displayed below the corresponding candle.

Sell Signal

A potential Sell signal is generated when:

• RSI is above the selected Overbought level.

• Price crosses downward through the Upper Envelope.

• The Envelope crossing conditions are confirmed by the current price data.

A red Sell arrow is displayed above the corresponding candle.

The following settings are a practical starting point:

Timeframe: M15
RSI Length: 8
RSI Overbought: 80
RSI Oversold: 25
Envelope Length: 8
Envelope Percent: 0.22
Envelope Source: HL2
Envelope Basis: SMA

These settings are not mandatory. Different symbols and market conditions may require different parameters.

How the Strategy Works

The indicator combines two types of information.

RSI measures market momentum and identifies possible Overbought or Oversold conditions.

Envelope levels define dynamic upper and lower price boundaries around a moving average.

A signal is generated only when the RSI condition and the corresponding Envelope price interaction occur together.

This makes the strategy more selective than using a simple moving average or Envelope crossover alone.

Trading Style

The indicator was designed primarily for:

Scalping, short-term trading and intraday trading.

M15 is a useful starting timeframe, but the indicator can also be tested on other timeframes and financial instruments.

It can be used on:

Forex currency pairs, Gold, Silver, stock indices, cryptocurrencies and other symbols available in MetaTrader 5.

Risk Management

Buy and Sell signals are technical analysis signals, not automatic trade instructions.

Traders should always use appropriate Stop Loss, Take Profit and position sizing according to their own trading plan.

A 1:1 risk-to-reward ratio can be used as a starting point, but the appropriate risk management settings depend on the symbol, volatility and individual trading strategy.

Important Signal Information

The indicator evaluates market data in real time.

A signal occurring on the currently forming candle may change or disappear before that candle closes as price and RSI values continue to update.

Traders who prefer confirmed signals should evaluate signals after candle close.

Envelope Length — Period used to calculate the Envelope basis.

Envelope Percent — Distance between the basis and Upper/Lower Envelope.

Envelope Source — Price source used for Envelope calculation.

Exponential — Selects SMA or EMA calculation for the Envelope basis.

RSI Length — RSI calculation period.

RSI Source — Price source used for RSI calculation.

RSI Overbought — Upper RSI threshold.

RSI Oversold — Lower RSI threshold.

Show Basis — Show or hide the Envelope center line.

Show Envelope — Show or hide Upper and Lower Envelope lines.

Show Signals — Show or hide Buy and Sell arrows.

Arrow Offset Points — Controls the distance of signal arrows from the candles.

Popup Alerts — Enable MT5 popup notifications.
