Mother Superior 3.40 combines eight XAUUSD strategy modules in one MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisor. Each module retains its own entry signals, internal timeframe, Magic Number and basket parameters. Modules share the account, but do not combine their positions into one common recovery basket.

1. Check that the installed EA is version 3.00, then attach it to your broker's XAUUSD chart on a hedging account.
2. Choose fixed-lot or equity-scaled starting lots and review the optional equity stop.
3. Check the configuration on demo before enabling live trading.

STARTING-LOT PROFILES

• FIXED LOT: a selected starting volume for each new basket. The default is 0.01 lot.
• EQUITY SIZING (%): the starting lot changes with current account equity. A 1% reference corresponds to 0.01 lot per 1,000 USD of equity; 2% corresponds to 0.02 lot per 1,000 USD of equity.
• IMPORTANT: equity sizing is not stop-distance risk sizing and does not limit losses to 1% or 2%.

Broker minimums, volume steps and the maximum-lot setting affect executable volumes. Small accounts may be forced to use a larger minimum lot than the formula suggests. Each basket locks its starting lot when it opens.

DCA BASKET MANAGEMENT

After a module's initial entry, adverse price movement can trigger additional positions at that module's configured spacing. Each basket permits up to five positions. The volume progression uses a 1.5 multiplier with broker rounding; a 0.01-lot base produces the reference ladder 0.01 / 0.02 / 0.03 / 0.05 / 0.08.

This is an averaging-down system with increasing position sizes. DCA increases exposure during adverse moves and does not guarantee recovery. A five-position maximum is not a maximum monetary-loss limit.

INDEPENDENT NET BASKET TAKE PROFIT

Each module uses its own volume-weighted basket and net take-profit target. The exit calculation includes booked position commission and fees, accumulated swap, and estimated closing fees. Negative costs require additional price profit; positive swap contributes to the basket's net result.

Automatic closing-cost estimation assumes the same per-lot charge as the opening side. The exit-cost input supports an explicit rate for prepaid or asymmetric broker fees. Slippage, changing charges and fees booked separately at account level can affect the final net result; estimated liquidation profit is not guaranteed.

TRADE AND BASKET DURATION

Positions and baskets may remain open for several days and sometimes several weeks. There is no guaranteed maximum holding period. Positions inside the same basket can have different holding times.

Extended holding involves overnight exposure and swap charges or credits. A profitable final close does not remove the risk of substantial floating losses while the basket is open.

OPTIONAL EQUITY PROTECTION

The equity-percentage stop is OFF by default (0%). When enabled, it monitors account equity against the EA's tracked peak, closes its module baskets at the configured trigger, and resumes after the existing pause.

A 20% setting is a trigger, not a guaranteed maximum drawdown. Gaps, slippage, failed execution and repeated losses after resuming can cause larger losses. With the stop disabled, broker margin stop-out remains possible.

This equity stop is not a complete prop-firm compliance system or a separate daily-loss limit. Check the firm's own rules before use.

CLEAR INPUTS AND CHART PANEL

• Lot size: fixed starting lot or equity sizing (%).
• Maximum lot: volume ceiling for one position, including DCA additions.
• Maximum simultaneous baskets: 0 means no additional portfolio basket limit.
• Equity protection (%): 0 means OFF; the pause controls when new baskets resume after closure.
• Eight module switches: disable new baskets while existing baskets remain managed.
• Spread and execution: maximum ask-bid spread in price units and deviation in points.
• Exit cost per lot: account-currency fee estimate; -1 estimates from entry fees, 0 means prepaid or no exit fee.
• Visual panel: display, scale and matching chart-theme controls.
• Diagnostics: optional detailed execution logging. No losing-streak pause is included.

The panel shows balance, equity, EA daily net deal results, floating profit/loss plus swap, basket and position counts, lots, spread, margin, equity-stop status and all eight module names. Floating profit plus swap is not the final post-commission liquidation result.
