Keltner Median Reversal Strategy - Median Line Cross With a Trend Filter
Keltner Median Reversal Strategy trades the moment a candle crosses back through a Keltner median line, but only in the direction of a 62-period moving average. Each trade has a stop loss and a take profit. It does not use martingale, grid strategies or position scaling.
Core Features
Keltner Median Lines
The Keltner channel uses an EMA basis (20) and ATR bands (10 x 2.0). The lower median sits half way between the basis and the lower band. The upper median sits half way between the basis and the upper band. The position of the median is an input.
Buy Rule
The 62-period moving average is rising, and the last closed candle opened at or below the lower median and closed above it.
Sell Rule
The 62-period moving average is falling, and the last closed candle opened at or above the upper median and closed below it. Longs and shorts can be enabled separately.
Trade Management
ATR-based stop, reward-to-risk target 2.0 by default, breakeven after 1R, ATR trailing stop after 1.5R. An opposite signal can close the open trade.
Built-In Safety Checks
Lot size is risk-based (1% of equity by default, hard cap 5%) and follows the symbol step, minimum, maximum and volume limit. It is pre-checked with the server and compared with free margin before every order. Stops respect the broker's stops level, freeze level and spread. No orders are sent while the market is closed. On netting accounts the EA does not touch positions it did not open.
