I create practical and efficient trading tools for MetaTrader 5, focused on simplicity and real market use.
My goal is to provide high-quality indicators at low cost, with many tools available for free or at affordable prices. - Versione: 1.63
Ever sit on the toilet and suddenly think:
“Wait... this trading strategy might actually work.”
Well, that’s basically how this EA started.
I had a simple idea, tested it, turned it into an Expert Advisor... and somehow it actually produced a pretty decent backtest.
Is it the holy grail of trading?
Absolutely not.
If I had the holy grail, I probably wouldn’t be selling it on MQL5. 😉
The idea behind the EA is simple:
If the Asian session shows a clear direction, there is a chance that the New York session continues in the same direction.
On top of that, New York often comes back to the Daily Open. When price reaches that level, the EA can look for a rebound trade.
That’s it.
No 27 indicators.
No AI super-algorithm from the year 2047.
No “99.9% guaranteed winning system.”
Just a simple trading idea turned into code.
The EA takes a maximum of 2 trades per day, and many parts of the strategy can be adjusted in the settings, including session times, filters, trade management and other parameters.
I also let the EA run in MT5 optimization mode for 3 days to search through different parameter combinations.
You’ll find the SET file with the optimized settings attached in settings, so you can use it as a starting point for your own backtests.
A note about the backtest
The backtest shown is not a multi-year backtest. It starts in February 2026.
Why February?
Simple: January never worked properly with the historical data available to me, so I’m not going to pretend I tested something that I didn’t.
I’d rather show you the actual test period and actual results.
Of course, optimized settings and historical results are not a promise of future profits. Different brokers, spreads, execution and market conditions can produce different results.
I built this EA because I simply wanted to know whether my random idea actually had some logic behind it.
Apparently, it did.
Test it yourself. Play with the settings. Backtest it on your own broker.
And maybe your next stupid trading idea from the toilet isn’t that stupid after all. 😄
I’ll be creating more Toilet EAs in the future. 😄
Have fun with the read, and have fun with the EA!
And remember: Some of the best trading ideas happen on the toilet. 🚽📈
