Warlock Gold Liquidity Reaper Pro v4 — HEDGE FUND EDITION is an institutional-grade Expert Advisor engineered exclusively for XAUUSD on the M15 timeframe. Built on the same principles used by professional trend-following funds, it combines a four-timeframe trend alignment system with ICT/SMC price action confluences to produce consistent, directional equity growth.
THE CORE PHILOSOPHY — NEVER TRADE AGAINST THE TREND
Most Gold EAs lose because they take ICT setups on M15 while the macro trend on H4, Daily, and Weekly is pointing in the opposite direction. Gold spent 2022–2024 in a long-term bull trend driven by central bank demand, geopolitical risk, and dollar weakness. Any system that shorted Gold during that period lost consistently.
Gold Liquidity Reaper Pro v4 solves this with a non-negotiable rule: if the Weekly timeframe says UP, no short trades are ever placed — regardless of any M15 signal. The Weekly is the supreme veto. Every other timeframe must align before an entry is considered.
FOUR-LAYER TREND ALIGNMENT
Weekly (W1) — Supreme veto Price versus EMA200 on the weekly chart. This is the macro institutional bias. If Gold is above its weekly EMA200, only long trades are permitted. Below it, only shorts. No exceptions. This single filter eliminates the most damaging trades — entering long during a multi-month correction or short during a bull run.
Daily (D1) — Structural confirmation The daily timeframe confirms the medium-term structure. Price must be on the correct side of its daily EMA200. A 0.1% buffer zone prevents false signals at the MA level.
H4 — Momentum and quality gate The four-hour timeframe adds ADX confirmation. The H4 ADX must exceed 22, and the dominant Directional Index (+DI or -DI) must agree with the intended trade direction. This ensures the EA only trades when institutional momentum is genuinely present — not during choppy, indecisive consolidations.
H1 — Entry timing The one-hour timeframe provides the final trend confirmation with RSI momentum filter. H1 RSI must exceed 52 for longs and be below 48 for shorts, confirming that momentum is aligned with the trade direction at the entry timeframe level.
ICT PRECISION ENTRY MODEL
Once the four-timeframe alignment is confirmed, the EA requires a specific M15 ICT confluence before entering:
Fair Value Gap — A three-candle imbalance of at least 8 pips is detected. Price must be retesting inside the gap, confirming that institutional order flow is present at that level.
Stop Hunt / Liquidity Grab — A confirmed sweep of a mapped liquidity zone (Equal High/Low, Previous Day High/Low, or Asian Range High/Low) must have occurred. The sweep candle wicks through the zone and closes back on the other side, confirming institutional accumulation.
Candle Confirmation — The entry bar must be a Bullish Engulfing or Bullish Pinbar for longs, or the bearish equivalents for shorts, with the close beyond the FVG midpoint.
Only when all seven conditions are simultaneously true does the EA place a trade.
PROFESSIONAL RISK AND POSITION MANAGEMENT
ATR-Based Stop Loss Stop loss is set at H1 ATR multiplied by 2.0. Using the H1 ATR instead of M15 noise ensures the stop is placed outside the genuine price fluctuation range of Gold, dramatically reducing the frequency of correct-direction trades being stopped out by normal volatility.
Chandelier Exit Instead of a fixed trailing stop, the EA uses a Chandelier Exit — trailing the highest high (or lowest low) reached since entry, minus 2.5 times the H1 ATR. This mathematically optimal exit method captures the maximum amount of trending moves while cutting losses quickly when the trend reverses.
Kelly Criterion Dynamic Sizing After the first eight completed trades, the EA calculates a Kelly fraction based on actual win rate and average win/loss ratio. Position size scales up when the system is performing well (up to InpMaxRisk) and scales down during difficult periods (minimum 40% of base risk). Half-Kelly is applied for safety.
Equity Protection If the account balance drops more than InpEquityDDReduce percent from its historical peak, position size is automatically reduced by 50% until the equity recovers. This creates a natural brake that protects capital during any drawdown phase.
Circuit Breaker After InpMaxConsecLosses consecutive losing trades, the EA pauses for InpCooldownBars bars (default 8 hours). This prevents the system from trading through hostile market conditions where the edge temporarily disappears.
1:3.5 Risk/Reward Ratio Every trade targets 3.5 times the initial risk. Combined with the strict entry filters, this asymmetric ratio means the system remains profitable even at moderate win rates.
BUILT-IN PROTECTION FILTERS
Spread Filter — Maximum 2.0 pips. Gold is best traded when spreads are tight, typically during the London and New York sessions.
Session Filter — Trading restricted to 08:00 – 16:00 GMT. This targets the highest-liquidity window for XAUUSD while avoiding the low-volume hours where spreads widen and price action becomes unreliable.
High-Impact News Filter — MQL5 Economic Calendar integration blocks entries 45 minutes before and after USD High-Impact events. This prevents being caught in NFP, FOMC, or CPI spikes that invalidate technical setups.
Regime Detection — H4 ATR must confirm that the market is in a trending state. Below InpH4ATR_MinPips the market is considered flat. Above InpH4ATR_MaxPips the market is considered too volatile for reliable entries.
Minimum Bars Between Trades — At least 16 M15 bars (4 hours) must pass between trades, preventing multiple entries on the same exhausted setup.
