Scalp88 — MTF Scalp Indicator for XAUUSD (M1)
Scalp88 is a professional scalping indicator for MetaTrader 4, designed for fast market reading on the M1 timeframe and trading in the direction of the prevailing impulse. The indicator combines dynamic trend logic, volatility normalization (ATR), and multi-timeframe confirmation (MTF), presenting everything as clear arrows and an easy-to-read strength percentage.

What you see on the chart
-
Blue arrows (BUY) — buy entry signal.
-
Red arrows (SELL) — sell entry signal.
-
Trend lines (Up/Down) — dynamic trend structure and phase switching.
-
MTF panel in the top-right corner:
-
shows the dominant direction BUY/SELL,
-
displays the percentage of signal strength (based on agreement across multiple timeframes),
-
optionally shows detailed lines per timeframe (M1…W1).
-
How it works (technical overview, without revealing the code)
Scalp88 is built as a multi-layer signal system, where each block improves filtering quality:
-
Trend Core
The indicator analyzes local extremes (High/Low) using the selected period and compares them with Bollinger Bands boundaries. This helps detect moments when price shifts between impulse and pullback / trend-phase changes. -
Volatility Adaptation (ATR)
An ATR module is used to normalize volatility and keep the logic adaptive to current market speed—especially important on M1. -
MTF Consensus (percentage panel)
The indicator additionally evaluates direction on several timeframes (from M1 up to W1) and calculates a BUY vs SELL dominance percentage. This creates a simple rule: scalp only in the direction of the majority.

Important practical notes
-
For a more conservative approach, use signals after candle close (reduces intra-bar noise).
-
M1 scalping often performs best during active sessions (London/New York), but results depend on your broker’s spread and execution.
-
The percentage in the panel is your direction filter, and the M1 arrow is your entry trigger. In this strategy, both conditions must be met.
1) Core calculation parameters
-
Period_Indicator — base period for swing/extremum analysis and internal range calculations. Higher values usually mean fewer but more selective signals.
-
shift — Bollinger Bands shift parameter (fine tuning for specific quote streams).
-
BB_Deviation — Bollinger Bands deviation. Increasing it generally reduces switching frequency and filters noise.
-
ATR_Period — ATR period for volatility estimation. Higher values smooth the volatility response.
-
ATR_Divider — ATR scaling divider (calibration of volatility sensitivity).
2) MTF panel & multi-timeframe filter
-
Show_MTF_Panel — show/hide the panel.
-
MTF_BarShift — bar shift for MTF calculations.
-
Value 1 typically means calculations are based on the closed bar (more stable).
-
-
MTF_LookbackBars — historical depth used to evaluate signal direction per timeframe.
-
MTF_IntraBarRefreshSec — intra-bar refresh rate in seconds. Useful for dynamic monitoring; set to 0 if you prefer strict closed-bar logic.
3) Auto panel layout (responsive UI)
-
AutoPanelLayout — automatically adjusts panel size/fonts to the chart window.
-
RightMarginPct — right margin as % of chart width.
-
TopMarginPct — top margin as % of chart height.
-
PanelWidthPct — panel width as % of chart width.
-
PanelMinWidth / PanelMaxWidth — min/max panel width (pixels).
-
FontMinSize / FontMaxSize — min/max font size limits.
4) Panel styling (UI/UX)
-
Panel_Font — font name.
-
Panel_BG — panel background color.
-
Panel_Border — border color.
-
