Smart Session Levels – Professional Trading Session High & Low Indicator for MT5

Smart Session Levels is a clean and lightweight MetaTrader 5 indicator designed to automatically identify and display the High and Low levels of the Asian, London, and New York trading sessions directly on the chart.

Instead of manually marking important session ranges every day, Smart Session Levels automatically calculates the session price ranges and displays their High and Low levels as clear horizontal reference zones.

The indicator is designed to help traders quickly understand the relationship between the current price and important session levels, making it easier to analyze intraday market structure, breakouts, reactions, and potential liquidity areas.

Key Features

Asian, London & New York Sessions

Smart Session Levels supports three major trading sessions:

  • Asian Session

  • London Session

  • New York Session

Each session can be enabled or disabled independently, allowing traders to configure the chart according to their preferred trading style.

The default session times are fully customizable from the indicator settings.

Automatic Session High & Low

The indicator automatically calculates the highest and lowest prices reached during each selected session.

For every session, traders can display:

SESSION HIGH

and

SESSION LOW

These levels are drawn directly on the chart and can serve as visual reference points for intraday analysis.

Historical Session Levels

Smart Session Levels can display session levels from multiple previous days.

The Lookback Days parameter allows traders to control how many recent days of session data are displayed.

This makes previous session highs and lows available as historical reference levels when analyzing current price action.

Level Extension

Session levels can optionally be extended beyond the original session period.

The Extend Levels option allows the user to project the session High and Low forward by a configurable number of bars.

This can make important session levels easier to monitor after the original trading session has ended.

Clear Session Labels

Optional labels are displayed beside the session levels, including the session name and exact price.

For example:

ASIAN HIGH 1.08500

LONDON LOW 1.08250

The label position can also be adjusted using the label offset setting.

Color-Coded Sessions

Each trading session can have its own color, making the chart easier to read at a glance.

The indicator provides separate color settings for:

  • Asian Session

  • London Session

  • New York Session

Line width and line style can also be customized.

Professional Dashboard

Smart Session Levels includes an optional on-chart dashboard providing a compact overview of the current market session structure.

The dashboard displays:

  • Current Symbol

  • Current Timeframe

  • Active Session

  • Asian Session Range

  • London Session Range

  • New York Session Range

  • Candle Countdown Timer

This allows traders to monitor important session information without constantly checking the chart manually.

Active Session Detection

The dashboard automatically identifies which supported trading session is currently active:

ASIAN

LONDON

NEW YORK

or

NONE

The active session is highlighted using the corresponding session color.

Candle Countdown Timer

Smart Session Levels includes an optional real-time candle countdown.

The timer displays the remaining time before the current candle closes according to the selected MT5 timeframe.

This can be useful for traders who monitor candle closes around important session High and Low levels.

Flexible Session Configuration

The session start and end times can be customized directly from the indicator inputs.

This allows traders to adapt the indicator to different:

  • Broker server times

  • Trading schedules

  • Market sessions

  • Intraday strategies

The indicator also supports sessions that cross midnight.
