ICT Liquidity Pools

ICT Liquidity Pools automatically maps the resting-order pools that ICT-style traders use as draw-on-liquidity targets — buy-side liquidity (BSL) above old swing highs and sell-side liquidity (SSL) below old swing lows — and tracks each level in real time until price takes it out.
What it does
- BSL / SSL detection — plots a line at every confirmed swing high (BSL) and swing low (SSL), using an adjustable pivot lookback so you control how sensitive the swing detection is.
- Equal Highs / Equal Lows (EQH/EQL) — when a new pivot forms within your chosen tick/point tolerance of an existing level, both are automatically highlighted and relabeled as an equal-highs or equal-lows cluster — the classic ICT high-probability liquidity target.
- Sweep detection — the moment price trades through a level, it's marked with an "X" at the exact bar that took the liquidity.
- Distinct mitigated levels — instead of just deleting a level once it's swept, the indicator draws a line from the original pivot to the exact bar that swept it, in its own separate color and line style from active levels — so at a glance you can tell what's still resting and what's already been run.
- Lookback filter — automatically prunes levels older than a limit you set in bars, days, or weeks, so the chart stays readable and the indicator stays light even after months of history.
- Fully customizable visuals — independent color, line style, and line weight controls for active levels vs. mitigated levels, plus adjustable extension length so lines project just ahead of price instead of running off the chart forever.
Why it's useful
Liquidity pools are where price is drawn to. Manually marking equal highs/lows and remembering which old highs/lows are still "live" gets tedious fast, especially across multiple sessions. This indicator keeps that map current automatically, so you can focus on reading how price reacts at each level instead of redrawing it.
Inputs
- Pivot Settings — Pivot Left/Right Bars, Max Active Pools to Track
- Equal Highs/Lows — EQH/EQL Tolerance (points)
- Lookback Filter — Unit (Bars/Days/Weeks) and Amount
- Unmitigated Line Settings — BSL/SSL/EQH colors, line style, line weight, extend length
- Mitigated Line Settings — separate BSL/SSL/EQH colors, line style, line weight, keep-or-hide toggle, and sweep "X" toggle
Recommended use
Works on any symbol and timeframe. Built and tested against NQ (Nasdaq 100) futures on intraday timeframes, but the pivot-based detection is timeframe-agnostic — it works the same way on forex, indices, or any other liquid instrument.
This indicator is a visual analysis tool. It does not generate trade signals, place trades, or manage risk on its own — all trading decisions remain the trader's own responsibility.
