Quantra Nasdaq Momentum is a fully mechanical, intraday Expert Advisor for
the Nasdaq-100 index (M5 timeframe). It combines a Fair Value Gap momentum
entry with a trend filter, an opening-range breakout and a multi-signal
confluence, aiming for steady growth with strict risk control.
IMPORTANT - SYMBOL AND SETUP
- The Nasdaq-100 has a different name at each broker (USTEC, US100, NAS100,
NDX...). Attach the EA to the M5 chart of YOUR Nasdaq-100 symbol.
- Set InpValorPuntoBroker to the value of 1 index point per 1 lot on your
symbol (typical index CFD = 1).
- Set InpOffsetSrv to your broker server time offset vs CET (the session
filter and the daily close use Spain/CET hours).
HOW IT WORKS
- Trend filter: uses the 200-period EMA (M5) direction.
- Momentum entry (module A): a Fair Value Gap left by a strong impulse
candle, filtered by TEMA, session VWAP and SuperTrend confluence.
- Opening-range breakout (module B): a controlled breakout of the day range.
- Anti-martingale: size increases slightly after winning trades (capped),
and is cut during drawdown. This is the OPPOSITE of a martingale.
- Fully intraday: all positions are closed before the session ends
(around 21:50 CET). No overnight exposure by default.
- A global firewall caps the net contracts.
RISK MANAGEMENT
- Position size is a percentage of your account balance (auto-scaling), so
risk stays proportional to any account size.
- A linear risk regulator (InpFraccionRiesgo) lets you scale the whole
exposure down (0.48 = soft, ~10% expected drawdown) or up (1.0 = full).
RECOMMENDED USE
- Symbol: a Nasdaq-100 index CFD (M5 chart). Low-spread account recommended.
- Run on a VPS for uptime during the session.
- Always test on a demo account first and confirm the strategy overcomes
your spread/commission, and that InpValorPuntoBroker/InpOffsetSrv are
correct for your broker.
