## SINGLE ENTRY — NO GRID
AURUM EDGE operates with individual positions.
It does **not** use:
- ❌ Grid trading
- ❌ Position stacking to average down or chase the market
Each trade has a clearly defined structure consisting of **Entry, Stop Loss, and Take Profit**, decided independently at the moment the setup is detected — never added to or averaged afterward.
AURUM EDGE is not designed to chase every market movement. The system waits for conditions that meet its trading criteria before opening a position.

## STRUCTURED RISK MANAGEMENT
AURUM EDGE takes the available account balance into consideration when adjusting position size according to the predefined risk management structure.
As the account balance increases, the lot size can adjust according to the EA's money management mechanism. The objective is to allow position sizing to adapt to the development of the trading capital rather than relying solely on a fixed lot size.

## OPTIONAL AUTO LOT
AURUM EDGE also includes an Auto Lot feature that can be enabled according to the trader's preference.
The Auto Lot mechanism is different from the balance-based Step Lot system: instead of scaling with account balance, position size is calculated from a fixed **% risk per trade**, combined with the Stop Loss distance of that specific setup. A wider Stop Loss (typically from a wider breakout candle) results in a smaller lot, and a tighter Stop Loss results in a larger lot — keeping the dollar risk per trade consistent regardless of how far price moved before the entry signal.
Traders have the flexibility to enable or disable Auto Lot according to their preferred money management approach.

## OPTIONAL RECOVERY MODE (ADVANCED — HIGH RISK)
AURUM EDGE includes an **optional** Recovery Mode, disabled by default, for traders who specifically want a lot-recovery mechanism as part of their money management.
**How it works:**
1. The EA tracks consecutive Stop Loss hits on closed trades.
2. Once the number of consecutive stop-losses reaches a user-defined trigger (`SLStreakTrigger`), Recovery Mode activates.
3. While active, the position size for the **next trade** is multiplied by a user-defined factor (`RecoveryLotMultiplier`), applied on top of whatever lot sizing mode (Fixed, Step Lot, or Auto Lot) is currently in use.
4. As soon as any trade closes in profit, Recovery Mode deactivates immediately and lot sizing returns to normal.
**This is a martingale-style mechanism and carries meaningfully higher risk than the EA's default behavior.** It is turned off by default, and we recommend it only for traders who fully understand the added drawdown risk of scaling position size after losses.
⚠️ **Important for prop firm traders:** many prop firms explicitly prohibit martingale-style position scaling in their rules. If you plan to run AURUM EDGE on a prop firm account, keep Recovery Mode **disabled** and confirm your firm's rules before enabling it on any account.

AURUM EDGE focuses on setup quality rather than trading frequency.
The EA does not need to be active in the market at all times. When the required conditions are not present, the system may simply wait without opening a trade. This approach is designed to maintain trading discipline and avoid unnecessary market exposure.
