QuantMatrix Candle Patterns is a free MetaTrader 5 indicator designed to identify classic candlestick formations directly on the chart.

The indicator analyzes completed candles and detects recognized bullish, bearish and neutral price-action patterns.

When a valid bullish or bearish formation is confirmed, the corresponding BUY or SELL signal is displayed on the following candle. This means the signal is only generated after the source pattern has been completed.

The indicator also displays a compact chart panel containing the detected source pattern, the next-candle signal and the Pattern Strength.

How signals work

Candlestick formations are evaluated only after the source candle has closed.

Example:

A Bullish Engulfing pattern is confirmed when its final candle closes. The BUY signal is then displayed on the next candle.

This approach avoids presenting a signal before the candlestick formation has been completed.

Pattern Strength

Pattern Strength represents the structural quality of the detected candlestick formation based on candle body, wick proportions, relative size and basic price context.

Pattern Strength is not a historical probability of profit or a prediction of future performance.

Input parameters

Max Bars To Scan – Maximum number of historical candles analyzed.

Show Panel – Shows or hides the information panel.

Enable Alerts – Enables alerts when a new BUY or SELL signal is generated.

Doji Body Percent – Maximum relative body size used for Doji recognition.

Marubozu Body Percent – Minimum relative body size used for Marubozu recognition.

Strong Body Percent – Minimum body proportion used when evaluating strong candles in multi-candle formations.

Wick Dominance – Minimum wick-to-body relationship used for Hammer, Hanging Man, Inverted Hammer and Shooting Star recognition.

Usage

Attach QuantMatrix Candle Patterns to any MetaTrader 5 chart and timeframe. The indicator automatically analyzes the chart and displays detected patterns and their corresponding next-candle signals.

The indicator does not open, modify or close trades. BUY and SELL indications are visual analytical signals and should be evaluated according to the trader's own strategy and risk management.
