Marubozu Continue Trend EA

Overview & Candlestick Logic A Marubozu is a high-momentum candlestick pattern characterized by a thick body and minimal wicks, signaling dominant control by either buyers or sellers. Because perfect "zero-wick" candles are extremely rare in live market conditions, this EA identifies realistic Marubozu patterns by evaluating body-to-candle proportions and minimum candle height thresholds.

The EA trades trend continuations by combining validated Marubozu momentum with a Simple Moving Average (SMA) trend filter.

Trading Logic

  • Buy Entry: Triggers when the Close price of Shift 1 is above the SMA, AND Shift 1 meets all Bullish Marubozu criteria (Bullish body, meets Min Candle Size , and meets Min Body Ratio ).

  • Sell Entry: Triggers when the Close price of Shift 1 is below the SMA, AND Shift 1 meets all Bearish Marubozu criteria (Bearish body, meets Min Candle Size , and meets Min Body Ratio ).

  • Exit Strategy: Positions are managed strictly via fixed Take Profit (TP) and Stop Loss (SL) levels.

User Inputs / Adjustable Parameters

  • SMA Period: Trend filter period (Default: 200 ).

  • Min Candle Size (Pips): Minimum required size of Marubozu Body candle.

  • Body to Candle Ratio: Minimum ratio of Body ( |Close - Open| ) relative to total range ( High - Low ) (Default: 0.95 / 95%).

  • Take Profit (Pips): Fixed profit target per trade.

  • Stop Loss (Pips): Fixed risk protection per trade.

  • Lot Size: Fixed position volume for risk management.
