TrendMaster MT5 HF Scalper is a multi-symbol high-frequency
trend-following trading system designed for the M5 timeframe.
It operates simultaneously on EURUSD, GBPUSD, and XAUUSD,
capturing short-term trend waves through fast EMA crossovers,
RSI momentum, MACD confirmation, and H4 multi-timeframe trend
filtering.
The system employs a virtual SL/TP management mechanism,
combined with safety-net physical stop loss, per-symbol
independent risk control, and dynamic profit protection —
forming a multi-layered risk management framework that
pursues returns while strictly controlling downside risk.
Through nine iterations from v2.11 to v2.19, the system has
evolved into a mature "Pure SL/TP Exit + Dynamic Profit
Guard" trading framework.

Core Trading Logic

1. Signal System
- Fast EMA crossover (3/8 or 5/13) detects trend initiation
- RSI momentum confirms direction strength
- MACD histogram confirms momentum direction
- H4 multi-timeframe trend filter avoids counter-trend trades
- Signal scoring system: combines all indicators into a score
Normal threshold: 25 points, Aggressive: 15 points
2. Entry Conditions
- Signal score >= MinSignalScore (default 25)
- Spread <= MaxSpread (default 50 points)
- ATR volatility within reasonable range (0.1% - 3.0%)
- Outside news release windows (optional)
- Within trading session (optional)
- Position count for symbol below limit (default 3)
- Daily trade count below limit (default 10 per symbol)
- Cooldown period elapsed (default 2 bars = 10 minutes)
- Circuit breaker not triggered (4 losses raise threshold,
6 losses pause trading)
3. Position Sizing
- Fixed lots or risk percentage (default 0.3% risk per trade)
- Maximum lots per trade (default 0.50)
- Max 3 concurrent positions per symbol
- Max 9 concurrent positions across all symbols

Exit Mechanism (Seven Layers)

v2.19 uses a "Pure SL/TP + Dynamic Profit Guard" exit
framework. Positions only exit under the following conditions:
Layer 1: Virtual Stop Loss (1x ATR)
- Calculated from entry price and ATR
- Virtual execution (no physical SL set, bypasses freeze level)
- Checked every tick
Layer 2: Virtual Take Profit (3x ATR)
- 1:3 risk-reward ratio
- Lets profits run fully to target
- Virtual execution, market order on hit
Layer 3: Safety-Net Physical SL (3x virtual SL distance)
- Physical SL set at 3x the virtual SL distance
- Protects positions even when EA is offline (MT5 closed)
- Auto-checks and sets SL for existing positions on restart
Layer 4: Per-Position Floating Loss Protection (per symbol)
- EURUSD/GBPUSD: closes at 3.0% balance loss
- XAUUSD: closes at 1.5% balance loss (tighter for gold)
- Prevents excessive single-trade losses
Layer 5: Dynamic Profit Guard (v2.19 NEW)
- Tracks peak profit per position (highest floating profit)
- Activates when peak profit reaches 1x ATR (~$20)
- If profit drops below 60% of peak, closes to lock in profit
- Prevents "earned $30 then lost $30" profit giveback
Layer 6: Per-Symbol Total Floating Loss Protection
- Checks each symbol's total floating loss independently
- XAUUSD: closes all at 1.5% balance loss
- EURUSD/GBPUSD: closes at 3.0% balance loss
- Skips positions with profit > $20 (compromise solution)
- One symbol triggering does not affect others
Layer 7: Reverse Signal Exit
- Closes losing positions when opposite signal appears
- Only closes positions with profit < 0

Risk Management System

3. Daily Risk Controls
- Max daily loss: 3.0% (stops trading for the day)
- Max drawdown: 15.0% (stops all trading)
- Daily equity reset: resets drawdown baseline daily
- Friday close: auto-close all positions at 22:00 Friday (optional)
4. Safety Mechanisms
- Auto-close positions when EA is stopped/removed
- Startup check for existing positions without SL
- Auto-retry on close failure (handles transient errors)
- Cooldown prevents repeated close attempts (30 sec, 5 sec for SL)

Important Notes

1. Virtual SL/TP Mechanism
This EA uses virtual stop loss/take profit (does not set
physical SL/TP on the exchange) to bypass freeze level
restrictions and enable more flexible stop management.
A 3x-distance safety-net physical SL is set as a last line
of defense, ensuring positions are protected even when the
EA is offline.
2. Pure SL/TP Exit Mode
Since v2.16, trailing stop, break-even, and partial close
have been disabled. Testing showed these functions locked
in tiny profits ($2-5) far below the TP target. Positions
now run naturally to SL or TP, complemented by v2.19's
Dynamic Profit Guard to prevent profit giveback.
3. Per-Symbol Parameter Tuning
Default parameters are based on 6-month backtesting.
Different brokers may have different spreads and tick values.
Recommended adjustment ranges:
- XAUUSD risk threshold: 1.0%-2.0%
- EUR/GBPUSD risk threshold: 2.0%-4.0%
- Profit Guard activation: 0.7-1.5 ATR
- Profit retention: 50%-70%
4. Backtesting Recommendations
- Use "Every tick based on real ticks" mode
