I’m having the same issue with build 6285
"MQL5 community authorization failed"
Title: MT5 Build 6285 – MQL5 Community Authorization Failed on Windows VPS
Hello everyone,
I am experiencing an MQL5 Community login issue on my New York Windows VPS.
Problem details:
-
Platform: MetaTrader 5
-
Build: 6285
-
OS: Windows VPS
-
VPS Location: New York, USA
-
Error: MQL5.community authorization failed
What I have checked:
-
I can successfully log in to my MQL5 account through Microsoft Edge on the same VPS.
-
My MQL5 username and password are correct.
-
Internet connectivity on the VPS is working normally.
-
However, when I try to log in through MT5 (Tools → Options → Community), authorization fails.
My questions:
-
Is this a known issue with MT5 build 6285?
-
Are other users experiencing the same problem?
-
Is there any official fix or workaround?
-
Does reverting to build 6281 resolve this issue?
I am running MT5 on a Windows VPS for automated EA trading, so I would prefer a solution that does not require reinstalling MT5 or disturbing my existing EA configurations.
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

I'm in the region of your VPS, and I'm unable to replicate your issue in Release Build 6230 nor Beta Build 6285.
Unfortunately, I'm no longer able to find any installer for any Build more recent than 6090. Hopefully, someone else here can provide one.
Subject: MQL5 Community login fails in MT5 – authorization failed
Hello MQL5 Support,
I can log in successfully to the MQL5 website using my username and password, but I cannot log in to the MQL5 Community from my MetaTrader 5 terminal.
The Journal repeatedly shows:
MQL5.community – authorization failed
I have already:
-
Reinstalled MetaTrader 5.
-
Confirmed that my Vantage Markets Live 10 trading account works.
-
Checked that my MQL5 username is correct.
-
Reset my MQL5 password several times.
-
Confirmed that I can log in to the MQL5 website, including in a private browser window.
I am using MetaTrader 5 on a STRATO Windows VPS.
I purchased the EA Quantum iGold MT5 through the MQL5 Market and need access to my purchased product.
Could you please check whether my MQL5 account or my VPS IP address is blocked or whether there is another authentication problem?
Thank you for your help.

Yes, there are posts and even the threads where users have reported this issue with MT5 build 6285.
But I can neither confirm that such a problem exists nor deny it, since I currently have MT5 build 6230 since my broker (where I have an account) has not yet updated to more recent builds.
I think you are using/testing a beta build of MT5, because on build 6230 (and on earlier builds) there is no such problem.

Have restarted and reinstalled my MT5 several times and tried to log into the MQL5 on my MT5 and is still to no avail.
I do have other logins of my MQL5 fine on my old laptop but i noticed the build is 6281 there instead of this new downloaded MT5 build 6285.
What is the issue here? Logged in with my ID and reset my passwords few times too already...
