hello i trade via mt4 platform and uses one minute charts i usually open seven currency pairs at a time and my mt4 platform always hangs and freezes shortly after opening my charts on the one minute time frame, but when i change the timeframe of the various pairs to 15 minutes, the platform begins to be normal but i really need to use the one minute time frame instead of the 15 minutes timeframe, i dont know how to adjust my mt4 platform to allow me to use the one minute timeframe without any hitches, i use an asus core i7 laptop

 
I have an issue on the function OnTick() .. if we use the period dropdown in MT4 to be 1 hr or 5 min , if we have no other functions except OnStart() then why would backtests be different when using 5 min , 1hr , 4hr etc .. they should be exactly the same if it's being called on every trade tick right?

Please don't mix OnTick() which is for EAs, and OnStart() which is for Scripts.

Selecting different time-frame affects the default time-frame for OHLC bar data and Indicators. You can still explicitly access other time-frames, but it will require extra processing.

For the back-test, the selection will affect how the modelling is carried out, for example if using "open prices", but it also affects how the simulated ticks are generated.

 
hi every one, i accidently lost my mt4 charts in a profile and I couldn't retrieve it.(there is no charts in "open deleted" menu )

can someone guide me in this. I noticed that there are traders who post trades on youtube or instagram however their mt4 platforms are different from mine. They show a settings gear on the bottom right of their mt4 mobile chat? like the one i attached, i tried to find it on my mt4 mobile app but i cant find it. is it because im using an old version or their platforms are not legit?

It is "legit". I have it on mine (on iOS). What build do you have? Android or iOS? Show a screenshot of yours.

EDIT: It seems that it is different on the Android phones, which is probably why you don't have it. The screenshot you provided is from an iPhone.
