We will try to add a gap on GBPJPY in the near future.
If possible, also for GBPCHF
If you don't mind, please indicate the missing interval for GBPCHF.
Interval is the same
Looks like the situation has not changed, no data for GBPJPY 10-11.2006, today I have downloaded archives of quotations. Dear, someone said above that they have downloaded this data, can you post these two files, maybe they can be added by hand.
I think if both jpyusd and gbpusd have quotes, then GBPJPY should have them too.
I would like to ask you to explain to us, young cattle breeders, why there is such a difference in quotes between different brokerage companies and what to believe in the end?
and on what data to test?
I have written and wrote for a whole day on Alpari quotes, prepared just a suitcase full of money, and then I had a chance to download MQ quotes and it turned out that one suitcase would not be enough
And the differences in the quotes start exactly from 1. 6. 2004. Till that date the tests go back to back.
I am standing at the crossroads between six and nine zeros in my future deposit and I do not know what to do next - either to close my Alpari account because its quotes do not fit my grail, or to develop Expert Advisors suitable for all quotes and accurate time signals
if i have already tried it, what should i do and will my advisor work with other brokerage companies?
What do you think? That at Alpari the Expert Advisor will sink, but at MQ there is not enough money to store freely convertible Tugriks?
where is the truth?
I've downloaded EURUSD quotes from chistotor centre twice, once through the MLG demo and once through the Alragi demo. I have been testing the same Expert Advisor with the same settings.
What do I get?
Testing with quotes downloaded from MlG:
Testing with quotes downloaded from HTML:
The quotes should be the same but the results are different ((( I do an elementary check of the highs and lows of the day (opening and closing are not considered) and it turns out that they are different, but both times downloaded from the Hystor Center!!!
Quotations are different in different DCs. Quotation traffic is supplied by different suppliers and is subject to purchase and sale. Whichever source the DC uses, that's what the quotes are.
Our specialised algorithm for packing historical data has a stable compression ratio of 1:13, while ZIP gives 1:6 on the same data. That is, our method is twice as efficient as zip, because we explicitly consider the type of data and pack it accordingly. ...
Impressive. :)
And why not use single precision numbers in *.hst instead of double precision? For quotations it would be enough. With file sizes in the tens of MB, many would thank us for reducing the size by almost half.
