That's how I interpreted mrProF's advice. I could be wrong. You can make up your own mind as to what exactly it was about.
The tester works fine with floating lots.
On a fixed lot chart, you can easily see the periods of rises and falls, and then analyze the parts of the Expert Advisor that are losing and those that are gaining.
Then, using this data, the Expert Advisor can be improved and the drawdown can be reduced, or the errors in the Expert Advisor logic can be found.
However, the floating lot (reinvestment) allows withdrawing all profits in the last testing section and remaining near zero for most of the time.
I meant that it would be better to run the Expert Advisor with a fixed lot.

Thank you, a valuable addition!
And you guarantee that there are no random events in the Expert Advisor code, which produce different signals on the same interval?
To check the signals, use the"Open chart" command in the tester report and look at the graphical display of the trades.
sorry, how to use the command"open chart" ...
In the 298 build, the tester will open the chart itself (at least for pairs specified in the tester) after the test is completed.
For all other builds do the following: Go to RESULTS in the strategy tester and select OPEN GRAPHIC in the pull-down menu.
PS
In a visual test, as I understand the graph will be visible during the test...
And how is this to be understood? How acceptable (correct) are the results given by the tester (in the form of tens of millions of virtual dollars on an initial virtual deposit of 5 thousand in 5 months)?
goldtrader, papaklass, thanks for the tips!
Indeed, "variable lot" is used, if one can call it that.
On the other hand, as a result of sorting out the problem, it has already become clear that Alpari has had a "broken history" all along, so there is no trust in the results. So I'm waiting for an update on this story.

My results on Alpari are like this for 5 months from a deposit of $1000 :

That's how you're all going to ruin poor Alpari soon :)...
