Discussion of article "How to Prepare a Trading Account for Migration to Virtual Hosting" - page 14

please tell me if I understand correctly, if I connect to the virtual server, synchronise, set the signal, then after that I can close the terminal and turn off the computer? can I ask you in a private message?

Yes, after synchronisation you can shut down the computer, but you need to connect the signal first and then synchronise the virtual server. Also, after synchronisation, disconnect signals on your terminal (not virtual).

Now the signal will work on the virtual server, and your terminal (not virtual) with disconnected signal can be used for monitoring.

bhumi22, I have been using it on one of the small experimental accounts for about two months now. There were glitches with migration, but I contacted servicedesk and they fixed it in two seconds. Sometimes it pumps out an unreasonably large amount of information during synchronisation. I tried to synchronise 5 times in a row - 5 times in a row and it downloaded nothing. And when it wants to - it only uploads only what is declared for synchronisation. They say that perhaps it is he charts so uploads - and I do not understand why not to do so that charts loaded after the synchronisation itself directly from the trade server and why the increased upload goes several times in a row, and then mysteriously stops... but Now everything is normal. But it's fine now.

But basically migration is instantaneous, Expert Advisors work quickly and clearly - there are plenty of resources, you can easily choose a server with minimal ping to the trading server, for all the time the hosting server has not once rebooted - worked without fail.

Thanks for the review. I also want to try it, but I have a rather complex EA on one account, so I wonder if there would be no failures.

Could you explain again, for blondes - how to monitor the signal execution in your non-virtual terminal?

And one more thing - don't you need to disable Expert Advisors in your terminal?

Of course you can!!! That's what hosting is to keep your computer switched on all the time))))))

I tried EAs with different complexity and load on the system - everything works like clockwork. For feedback I used PUSH notifications. Only if your EA uses dll - it will not work on hosting.

hmmm... I wanted to try virtualisation, but I'm being offered servers with a minimum ping of 114.07 - is that normal? In my mind it should be much lower.

Can you send me a screenshot in a private message. What broker do you have an account with?

I have today for some reason not a single message in the main log, usually the server made records every hour. Synchronised, switched off, switched on MT4 - no entries. Is this normal?

In the features I found : "failed to connect to server United Kingdom". Is it that they have a day off, so the server is down?
