Discussion of article "Tips for an Effective Product Presentation on the Market" - page 5

Novikov:

"When preparing screenshots of charts, it is recommended to use the standard colour scheme "Black and White" (black colours on a white background). This scheme is the most compatible with the design of the storefront and will not irritate the customer's eye with a non-standard set of colours."

1. Is it recommended or is it still required? If still recommended, it means that it is not required!

2. On what basis were conclusions drawn that the dark background irritates the buyer's eye? Was a survey conducted or was the decision made unilaterally as usual?

Please tell me, which of the screens is more annoying, the dark one - on which everything is well and clearly visible or the light one - on which almost nothing can be seen!!!?

And most users still use the dark scheme! Isn't that right? There used to be screenshots of all users available and as far as I remember, when viewing them, most of them had dark colours!

Isn't that better for perception as it has more contrast!!!?

I have always been in defence of graphs on a white background. A black background spoils any picture. Everything looks neat on white.

And why do screenshots still have to be 640x480 pixels? This is not serious at all! Or are larger screen sizes just as annoying to the eyes of customers? Or do most people prefer to work on monitors with this resolution? Where is the logic?

Maybe it's time to switch to FullHD format, namely 1920*1080, and screens that would be displayed as previews with the ability to view in full scale by clicking on them!?

Spoils it how? What does "neat" mean? Sorry, dear, but your statement is just your subjective opinion, as subjective as mine!

It doesn't answer the question at all!

To understand the advantage of dark and light backgrounds, it is enough to work one week on one background and another week on another background and then it will become clear, on which one is better and easier to work and less tired eyes!

The background and the size of the images are chosen for the sake of adequate appearance when printing on a b/w printer.
It's an article, not everyone likes to read from the monitor.

"We are talking about the site and the convenience of perceiving information on the site, not the convenience of printing on a printer! What % of users do you think print out information from the marketplace? I think that less than 1-2%.

Namely, articles are located in the sections "articles" and "blogs", and in the market is not articles, but the description of the product!

And about the size, I wrote that it's time to make the principle of the gallery - we see previews with sizes 640*480, and when you click on the screen, opens a full screen FullHD, because the child size 640*480 can not always display the full information!

In the desire to see pictures in the size of metre*metre you do not take into account the fact that a huge number of views come from all sorts of mobile devices. For small screens, the ability to view information in the main window at once is crucial.

And please, when communicating on the forum, switch to "you".

In your desire to see metre*metre-sized images, you completely ignore the fact that a huge number of views come from all sorts of mobile devices. For small screens, the ability to view information in the main window at once is crucial.

And please, when communicating on the forum, please switch to addressing me as "you".

Please, whatever you say, if it bothers you, "You" means "You"!

I take into account the fact that viewing can occur from mobile devices, because I immediately described the option of using previews, which you did not pay attention to and did not give it any importance!

Nobody forces you to click on the preview and enlarge the screen!

And your sarcasm "metre*metre" is not appropriate! This resource does not take into account the wishes of users, and does not take into account the fact that on a piece of 640*480 is not always possible to provide and display full information!

And again - "a huge number of views" - this information is not about anything, and a simple emotional statement! Do you have specific figures and statistics about the resolution of monitors through which this resource is viewed?

Oops, didn't notice the thread title. I thought the articles are discussed, there too the requirements for screenshots are such.

In the market really can post larger pictures, and on a black background including.
