If you have set up the email correctly it will work (at the same time when a regular alert is display an email is attempted to be sent too)

But new metatrader will not work with google, hotmail and similar emails (a lot of problems reported with emails in the new metatrader 4 - check if you are getting any error in the journal or experts tab of the terminal)
