How to use ECN = True on IBFX USA and IBF Australia? - MQL4 and MetaTrader 4

Hi Newdigital,

I noticed that recently, all EAs must be set ECN = True so that they can place orders on IBFX USA and IBFX Australia. If not, the EAs will not place a single trade.

So, I think they may become ECN Broker with a bit high spreads than other ECN Brokers.

The max leverage of IBFX Australia is 1:400. IBFX Australia allows Hedging and scalping for even 1 - 3 pips from what I noticed.

For spread on Eurgbp, it is often from 1.8 to 3.5 pips, changing all the times, not fixed.

So, how do you think if using Tick scalper ea on IBFX Australia?

By the way, I overheard that Alpari UK or Alpari USA often have server being suck many times during trading days, is it correct?

Is Alpari UK or Alpari USA good especially on the server connectivity?

ECN = True can work with any broker.

By the way - IBFX US is stp and non-hedge broker.

IBFX Australia is stp and hedge broker.

For example - it is IBFXAustralia.

I want to open the trade and place stop loss/take profit in the same time. And I can not:

It means: it is stp broker and ECN must be True.

But I can open hedge:

By the way - IBFX broker is very good for connectivity (almost same with Alpari rus/NZ). More good than Alpari UK or US.

Some conclusion from the past account (which was disabled):

- 3,000 initial deposit is too small one for this kind of scalping EA;

- selecting good broker is 50% of the sucess.

Please kindly advise how much is equivalent to 1 pip on FXCM's demo account that you are forward-testing Tick scalper ea?

And what leverage are you using?

I overheard that FXCM reduce lot size down to 0.01 on live account, but no idea when they will make it effective? Do you have any idea on it ?

Although Tick scalper ea is profitable, but max and relative drawdown is quite high, which is quite scaring to use it on live account, especially with amount of 5000usd and above.

Any ideas to reduce the max and relative drawdown from you or Igorad?

How about increasing the pip distance between each trade up to 35 - 40 pips in order to reduce the max and relative drawdown?

Imagine that each time the Tick scalper ea place a new trade with increased lot size, but the pip distance is now like 35 - 40 pips, then, the max lot size will be much reduced, and so, max drawdown can be reduced?

Also, in such case, the required amount to trade with this EA can be much reduced, instead of using at least 5000usd, we can use like 2000usd, or 3000usd.

Also, instead of using 1-minute timeframe, could you try on 5-minute timeframe so that this Tick scalper ea can trade with trend better than on 1-minute timeframe? Hope you can try on 5-minute timeframe to see how it will perform.
