Indicator Request - Stochastic ATR / Standard Deviation
In my research of trading strategies I almost always use ATR or Standard Deviation as a measure of volatility in order to find the best times to enter a trade.
Now here's where things get a little interesting, I was doing a bit of research and have wondered what a Stochastic ATR or even better a Stochastic Standard Deviation would like. Basically -- running the Stochastic calculation over a Standard Deviation data set.
The Stochastic calculation is best used to compare the closing price of a currency to its price range over a given time span. However i'd like to see what it would look like to have Stochastic Calculation of Standard Deviation rather than price to find the standard deviation range over a given time span.
Not sure if this will work well or not, just a very experimental indicator, unfortunately i'm not a very good programmer and I wonder if anyone is willing to take a stab at it.
Thanks in advance.

Bollinger based on cci
Hi,
I am looking for an EA that will calculate the Bollinger band based on the CCI value and not the price, than buy/sell if the current CCI value > upper band or CCI value < lower band .
Thanks,
Lio

EA Request--ATRchannel
Anybody know about this EA(ATRchannel)? Where can I find this EA? Thanks
zero draw down "ea"
...those of you who have entertained this concept of an "ea", that
promotes this strategy have thought about how can it be done, or is it possible? Yes it is of course, with hedging, but what kind of hedging?
Hedging that works by using a base position and a hedge position. The hedge
position takes a higher value, when the position becomes negitive, 1 pip pass the spread, DrawDownProtect mode activates so now positive equity is obtained,
then all positions are closed in profit, then it imediately opens another position with "dd" protect on alert status. Here is some concerns about this "strat"...
1. "whipsawing"
2. "flat markets"
3. "strong trends"
4. "when to close positions"
5. "when to open positions"
6. "when to leave position open to allow profits to run"
7. "during strong news release"
8. "a strategy to break even when needed"
9. "a stoploss protection when needed"
10. "increased lots when equity becomes more positive"
11. "running it on tick data"
12. "what kind of indicator?"
13. "what kind "mm" is used, if $250.00 at 400/1 leverage is used"
...here's a graphic depiction of this "ea" in action during "NFP"
...now can any body see my thinking, does this type of "ea" exist, or
how can it be created? I am imagining it having a meteoric equity curve.
trendlines
Hello Great People! does anybody have or know of a script that will draw trendlines using highs/lows on S&R per timeframe? What I mean is that the script will draw a trendline on 4H, 1hr, 15min, and 5 min using different colors. Please see pictures.
Thanks,James
Look at this thread https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/general
I need help with this
Can someone please help to convert this indicator to an expert advisor. If however the EA already exists can you point me in the right direction. Please help. Thanks

Pivot Points Fibonacci Based?
THIS IS FROM ANOTHER FORUM: (Am I allowed to put a link here?)
"I've done a numerical projection based on the pattern i've seen.
Every number conforms to the approximate 1.618 Fibonacci increase based on the value before it.
If the pattern is extrapolated you get a perfect sequence:
+10: +1 (.1204)
+9 : +2 (.1203)
+8 : +3 (.1201)
+7 : +5 (.1198)
+6 : +8 (.1193)
+5 : +13 (.1185)
+4 : +21 (.1172)
+3 : +34 (.1151)
+2 : +55 (.1117)
+1 : +89 (.1062)
+0 : xxx (.0973)
-1 : -89 (.0884)
-2 : -55 (.0829)
-3 : -34 (.0795)
-4 : -21 (.0774)
-5 : -13 (.0761)
-6 : -8 (.0753)
-7 : -5 (.0748)
-8 : -3 (.0745)
-9 : -2 (.0743)
-10: -1 (.0742)
----------------
The extremal levels at which the lines cluster up seem like areas which would trigger a continuation of the trend to the highs and a reversal of the trend to the lower end.
One thing is certain now (I THINK), the indicator works based on a 1.618 Fibonacci sequential increase/decrease.
All i don't understand is how the initial levels are determined, but then that means we need to know the initial points of calculation and or the settings of the indicator.
Never seen anything like it, but hope i've managed to give clues.
I'm still scratching Ze beard on this one.
Regards,
E. Lang"
I've noted that using the H+L+C/3 on the current days' range approximates to the base value of 0 used to start the projections.
H: 2.1161
L: 2.0878
C: 2.0902
Result: 2.0980 or as per your chart 2.0973 (Considering broker differences)
So, is it some type of a Pivot Point indicator based on Fibonacci values ?
lol
Give us a hint ^_^
This is exciting, i love a challenge
E. Lang"
Anyone can mimic this indicator??
