Hi Newdigital,
I tried to backtest StepMAExpert v1.45 and I already put StepMA_v7EA.mq4 in the indicators folder. However, I still got the error essage: cannot open file StepMA_v7EA.ex4. Do I need the ex4 file instead of the mq4 file ? If so, can you please post the ex4 file for StepMA_v7EA ? The file you posted there was mq4.

Hope you don't mind me answering, sometimes when i download experts or indicators windows changes the name with (1) after the name so maybe this would be the reason, also make sure after you download make sure to compile it, either by opening metaeditor and opening the indicator and then compile, or just restarting the platform.

I followed your advice and tried compiling the indicator stepma_7ea. When I opened the file in metaeditor, I only saw corrupted codes in the editor, not normal code lines of MT4 indicators. I went back to the post and downloaded the file in a different way but still got the same result. It appears that the posted file has collapsed. Can you please re-post the file ? Thanks in advance.
