We took inspiration from Gold Reaper, kept the ideas we valued most, and developed Sycz Gold Breakout Master with one goal: refine those ideas and make them better.

Our focus was on bringing three gold breakout setups together, with automatic position sizing, trailing management, news filters and account controls in one EA.

The three setups run together. You can use the Automated profile for a personal account or configure daily and total drawdown limits through the prop-firm profiles. The dashboard brings trades, account figures and combined performance into one view.

The recommended setup is XAUUSD on H1, using an MT5 hedging account. Default settings are provided, with no separate set file required.

We also wanted to share the numbers behind the development.

The following results come from the EA  configured for 1 January–17 October 2026. Every completed trade used 0.01 lots.

Backtest measure Result
Starting balance $500.00
Final balance $1,307.08
Net profit, including commission and swap +$807.08
Completed trades 206
Winning trades 181 — 87.86%
Reported profit factor 7.39
Relative balance drawdown 4.29%
Relative equity drawdown 9.95%

We then analysed those trades using 60,000 Monte Carlo simulations: 10,000 runs across six scenarios. These included reshuffling trades, resampling outcomes, preserving groups of neighbouring trades, resampling whole trading days and randomly missing trades.

In the scenario that kept groups of five consecutive trades together:

  • 95% of simulated runs had maximum closed-trade drawdown of approximately 8.21% or less.

  • 99% of runs had maximum closed-trade drawdown of approximately 10.19% or less.

  • The largest drawdown observed among those runs was 21.27%.

That last number matters. A profitable historical result can still produce a more difficult trading sequence.

These simulations analyse completed trades. They do not reproduce floating losses, new market conditions or every possible execution problem. The backtest’s 9.95% equity drawdown remains a separate measurement, and historical results do not guarantee future performance.
