Gold Breakout Master: Meet Master Scalper

I wanted the next update to do something useful for the person actually running the bot: start managing a favourable move sooner.

That is the reason I added Master Scalper. It brings faster stop-loss trailing to Gold Breakout Master, while Master Swing keeps the original trade management available. You choose the style at the top of the inputs, then select your account profile and risk settings separately.

For traders who like the breakout approach but prefer earlier trailing, this is the update I would take a closer look at.

What changes when you choose Master Scalper?

Master Scalper adds a faster trailing preset to the existing breakout engine. Once price has moved far enough in the trade's favour, it aims to bring the stop closer and follow the move more closely.

The breakout setups and initial stop-loss and take-profit calculations remain in the underlying system. The extra trailing changes how an open position can be managed and where it may close.

Here, “Scalper” describes the faster trade management. The bot still waits for its breakout conditions. Selecting it does not mean the account suddenly needs to be full of trades all day.

The preset is built in. You do not need to enter a collection of trailing distances or load an external set file to select it.

The results that made me keep working on it

These two development reports cover 1 January to 17 October 2026, trading XAUUSD on H1, with a $1,000 starting deposit and 1:500 leverage. Those figures describe the reports below; they are not a required starting balance or leverage recommendation.

Reported result Fast-trailing development test [1] Master Swing test [2]
Closed trades 206 206
Winning trades 181 172
Win rate 87.86% 83.50%
Net profit $807.08 $978.94
Relative equity drawdown 5.72% 8.77%
Profit factor 7.39 2.84

What caught my attention was the combination of win rate, drawdown and profit factor in the fast-trailing report. That gives me a concrete reason to offer the style and continue testing it.

Swing made more net profit in this sample. The fast-trailing report had more winning trades, lower relative equity drawdown and a higher profit factor. Both results belong in the comparison.

The fast-trailing report used the development preset behind Master Scalper; the Swing report used version 1.04. They are different builds, so these reports do not isolate trailing as the only possible cause of the differences. They are historical tests, not live results or promised outcomes for the current release.

Which style would I start with?

For someone who prefers earlier trailing and wants to see how that affects the account's drawdown and trade exits, Master Scalper would be my first choice to test.

For someone who prefers the original exit management, Master Swing remains available. Faster trailing can also close a position before a larger move develops, which is why I kept both styles.

Gold Breakout Master is the more conservative option in my range, designed with smaller accounts in mind. My published starting-balance guidance is $200 minimum and $500 recommended. That guidance still needs to be considered alongside your broker's contract specifications, minimum lot size and the risk you select.

The account settings still matter

The trading style and account profile are separate choices. You can select Master Scalper and then use the Automated profile or configure the available prop-firm protections.

Automatic position sizing, the breakout-quality filter, spread controls and news protection remain part of the bot. NFP protection is separate from the selected major-news filter.

One setting deserves particular attention: the sizing drawdown target guides position sizing. Daily and total loss-limit controls belong to the prop-firm profiles. A sizing target is not a promise that drawdown will stop at that percentage.

Give Master Scalper a proper test

Start with the updated build, choose Master Scalper and watch how it manages trades after entry. Compare it with Master Swing over the same dates and settings. Look at the losing trades and the exits as well as the final balance.

For me, that is what makes this update worth considering: you have a faster management style to evaluate, a clear alternative to compare it with, and actual development reports behind the decision to add it.
