The beta for Apex Nasdaq is live. Build 1.10b2, MT5, Nasdaq 100. It’s free and I’m looking for testers.
What it is
A daily opening straddle. At the New York cash open it places a Buy Stop and a Sell Stop with SL and TP on each; the first to fill cancels the other. Unfilled orders are deleted 45 minutes later. Everything is flattened before the session ends — nothing held overnight.
Lot size is sized so the SL costs 1% of the account. No martingale, no grid, no averaging down. Four presets, a max-spread filter, and a lock that refuses to start on a live account.
Works on NAS100, US100 or USTEC. Any timeframe — it reads daily bars.
The numbers, honestly
Real tick data, 2025 to now: profit factor 1.38.
Full backtest 2017-12-06 to 2026-10-13 at 99% modelling quality: profit factor 1.59, max equity drawdown 11.7%, 1,116 trades, profitable in all nine years.
That’s one broker’s history on an optimised preset. It says the logic isn’t broken. It says nothing about how it behaves on your terminal.
Why I need testers
The open time is an input set to 16:30 server time. That’s correct on an EET/EEST server year-round, because that server type shifts with US DST. On a server at a fixed offset it’ll be an hour late for half the year — silently, with no error in the log.
I only have the one server type, so on mine that bug is invisible. Same story for contract size, stops level, filling mode and symbol naming. If your server is not EET/EEST, you’re exactly who I need.
What it costs
One honest report. “Ran three weeks on demo, eleven trades, nothing broke” is complete. “Couldn’t install it” is more useful — that means my guide is wrong.
