Two ready-made settings for TrueRisk Strategy EA. Load one and the EA trades the four stock indices and gold at the risk you picked.

The presets (files attached at the bottom of this post):

  • TrueRisk_Standard.set - indices 1% risk per trade, gold 1%, max-loss safety net at 20% of the starting balance
  • TrueRisk_Aggressive.set - indices 3% risk per trade, gold 2%, max-loss safety net at 30% of the starting balance

Both are for your own account: no daily loss limit, up to 5 trades open at once. For a prop-firm challenge use the EA's default settings and pick your firm's preset instead.

What the Strategy Tester shows (PU Prime price history, 1-minute OHLC, 100,000 USD start)

  • Aggressive, January 2020 to October 2026: +787% (100,000 to 887,320 USD), 1,234 trades, profit factor 1.31, largest equity drawdown 35.8%
  • Aggressive, January 2023 to October 2026: +649%, largest equity drawdown 27.8%
  • Aggressive, January 2020 to December 2022: +17.5%, largest equity drawdown 35.8%
  • Standard, January 2020 to October 2026: +196%, largest equity drawdown 18.7%
  • Gold part alone at 2% risk, 2017 to 2022 (gold moved sideways): -24%, then the safety net stopped trading. Without it: -50%

Read the drawdown numbers before the profit numbers. The Aggressive preset grows fastest when gold and the indices trend, and it can fall more than a third from its high in the bad years. If that would make you switch the EA off at the worst moment, start with Standard. Past results do not guarantee future results.

How to load a preset

  1. Download the .zip attached below and unpack it.
  2. In MetaTrader 5 click File > Open Data Folder, then open MQL5 > Presets and copy both .set files there.
  3. Drag TrueRisk Strategy EA onto any chart (it trades all its symbols from one chart).
  4. On the Inputs tab click Load and pick TrueRisk_Standard.set or TrueRisk_Aggressive.set, then click OK.
  5. Check the panel: it lists the symbols it found. If your broker uses a name the EA does not recognise, add it under "Symbols named differently", for example XAUUSD=GOLD.

The safety net counts from the balance when the EA is first attached. It steps in at 80% of the limit (so at -16% for Standard, -24% for Aggressive), closes everything and keeps trading locked, even after a restart, until you clear the lock on purpose (input "Clear a saved lock when the EA starts").
