RuleCommand Protocol Runtime MT5 on the MQL5 Market
RuleCommand Protocol is a structured risk, execution and decision-control workspace for MetaTrader 5. This article is the official English documentation companion for the MQL5 Market product.
What Protocol is designed to do
RuleCommand Protocol helps traders plan risk, prepare orders, manage positions, work across symbols, apply compatible strategy packs, keep account rules visible and review decision quality inside one MT5 workflow.
It is not a profit-prediction tool and does not guarantee trading results. Every trader remains responsible for validating settings, broker conditions and strategy behavior before live use.
1. Interface and navigation
The Protocol panel combines:
- symbol and workflow navigation
- risk and decision information
- execution controls
- trade management controls
- Smart Pending controls
- Pack Manager access
- Prop Guardian / rulebook status
- Decision Quality and Decision Coach views
- Protocol History and R-based review information
- dark, light and compact interface modes
2. Order types
Market
Use Market mode for immediate execution. Select the required stop-loss method and verify risk before pressing EXECUTE.
Pending
Pending mode displays a complete visual trade plan with separate Entry, Stop Loss and Take Profit planning lines. Review the geometry, R:R and risk before execution.
Smart Pending
Smart Pending prepares a pending order whose entry follows the Moving Average configured in the EA settings until the broker triggers the order or the setup is disabled.
Important: Smart Pending does not display separate Entry and Take Profit planning lines on the chart. Its Stop Loss line remains visible while the entry follows the configured Moving Average.
3. Risk and position sizing
Protocol supports structured position sizing based on the selected risk model and stop distance, while respecting broker constraints such as tick value, tick size, minimum volume, maximum volume and volume step.
Always verify the final calculated lot size and prices before execution.
Risk Lock
Risk Lock recalculates volume when Smart Pending geometry changes so that the planned percentage risk remains as stable as possible.
Lot Lock
Lot Lock keeps the selected lot size fixed while the Smart Pending entry follows the Moving Average.
4. Stop-loss methods
Depending on the selected workflow, Protocol can work with:
- Swing stop references
- Heikin Ashi based stop references
- Manual stop placement
Manual stops can be positioned directly on the chart. Always verify that the stop is valid for the selected symbol and broker minimum-distance rules.
5. Trade management
Protocol brings the key management functions into one area:
- Break-even
- Total Break-even for multiple Protocol positions
- Partial close
- up to three automatic R-based partial-close stages
- trailing-stop controls
The actual availability of each function depends on the current position state and broker permissions.
6. Multi-symbol workflow
Protocol can continue to manage its own Smart Pending orders while another symbol is active. Broker-side pending orders remain in the terminal across symbol changes and terminal restarts, while new Moving Average updates require the Protocol instance and MetaTrader 5 to remain active.
7. Pack Manager
The Pack Manager connects compatible strategy, rulebook and management components to the shared Protocol workflow.
Included strategy packs can operate in:
- Manual mode — the trader executes
- Semi mode — Protocol prepares, the trader confirms
- Full Auto mode — valid pack entries can execute automatically
Only use automatic execution after validating the relevant pack thoroughly in the Strategy Tester and on demo.
The long-term RuleCommand roadmap includes an Editor and pack marketplace where users will be able to create, load and offer their own strategy packs. This future Editor is not part of the current product version.
8. Prop Challenge Guardian
The Prop Guardian translates configured account rules into visible status information and execution protection.
Challenge profiles are templates only. Prop-firm conditions can change, so every limit must be checked against the provider's current official rules before use.
Protocol does not guarantee that a challenge will be passed.
9. Decision Quality and Decision Coach
Decision Quality and the Decision Coach evaluate the captured decision process rather than the later market outcome.
The Coach can surface:
- integrity checks
- the reason behind a score or state
- required changes
- review information
- Decision Identity patterns
- a chronological Decision Timeline
A profitable trade can still be a poor decision, and a valid decision can still result in a losing trade.
10. Protocol History
Protocol History focuses on Protocol-owned closed trades and R-based review information. The history display does not delete or replace the broker's account history.
11. Practical workflows
Manual Market Trade
- Check symbol, pack and trading status.
- Select the required direction and Manual execution mode.
- Check risk, maximum positions and the Market stop method.
- Enable Market, verify the plan and press EXECUTE.
Manual Pending Order
- Enable Pending.
- Position Entry, Stop Loss and Take Profit planning lines.
- Check R:R, loss amount and target amount.
- Confirm direction and risk, then press EXECUTE.
Pack-driven execution
- Confirm the Strategy Pack is ACTIVE and signals are enabled.
- Select Manual, Semi or Full Auto.
- Validate the setup before allowing execution.
12. 10-second pre-execution check
Before every EXECUTE:
- Correct symbol and direction
- Trading enabled and correct optional pack
- Correct order type, execution mode and stop method
- Plausible Entry, Stop Loss, Take Profit and R:R
- Acceptable risk percentage and loss amount
- Spread and Max Positions checked
- No Rulebook / Guardian block
- Only then press EXECUTE
13. Troubleshooting
If an order does not execute, check:
- Algo Trading permissions
- market hours
- symbol tradability
- Stop Loss / Take Profit geometry
- broker minimum distances
- Max Positions
- rulebook / Guardian state
If lot size looks wrong, verify tick value, tick size, lot step, stop distance and account currency.
If signals are missing, check pack ACTIVE state, Signals Enabled, timeframe and filters.
If anything behaves unexpectedly, disable automatic execution, inspect the chart and Experts log and reproduce the workflow on demo first.
Important risk notice
Trading involves risk. RuleCommand Protocol is a trading and risk-management tool, not financial advice. No profit, win rate or funded-account result is guaranteed. Strategy signals and packs require the trader's own validation. Broker execution, spread, slippage and symbol specifications can affect operation.
Before live use, test Protocol in the MT5 Strategy Tester and on a demo account.
