Bullion Ladder MT5
20 Gold Trading Strategies. One EA. Built for Long-Term Growth.
Bullion Ladder MT5 is an automated gold trading Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5. It trades XAUUSD (Gold) using 20 strategies, grouped into short-term, medium-term, and long/swing trading.
Bullion Ladder is designed for traders who want to grow their trading account over the longer term. It is not a get-rich-quick EA.
The aim is to follow a trading plan, manage risk, and allow the strategies to work over time.
Choose a risk profile from Very Low to Very High, and the EA selects the strategies and lot sizes for you. Or set every strategy yourself.

Key Features
- 20 built-in gold trading strategies in three groups: short term, medium term, and long/swing.
- Risk profiles from Very Low to Very High. One setting controls strategy selection, lot sizes, and maximum drawdown.

- Manual mode. Fixed lots or risk % for each strategy, or a mix of both.
- Very Low risk profile on by default, so new users start with the safest settings.
- Drawdown protection. Trades are closed and trading pauses when the limit is reached, then resumes automatically.

Money Management — Simple or Full Control
Bullion Ladder has three money management modes.
Risk Profile (default)
Choose one setting:
- Very Low — 5% maximum drawdown, safest strategies only.
- Low — 10% maximum drawdown.
- Medium — 15% maximum drawdown.
- High — 25% maximum drawdown.
- Very High — 45% maximum drawdown, all strategies.
The EA selects the safest strategies first and sizes the lots to stay within the profile’s drawdown.
Maximum Drawdown Target
Enter your own maximum overall drawdown, for example, 10%. The EA works out how many strategies fit and adjusts the lots.
Manual
Money management off. Set a fixed lot or a risk % for each strategy, or mix both.
In every mode, you can still switch any strategy on or off yourself.
The EA also checks your balance. A strategy is only selected when its smallest lot size fits its share of the drawdown. As your balance grows, more strategies are added automatically. If your balance is too small for the chosen profile, the dashboard shows the recommended balance.
Other money management options include balance or equity-based sizing, free-margin checks, and a daily loss limit.
Drawdown Protection
When the maximum drawdown is reached, the EA closes its trades and pauses for 24 hours (adjustable). It then resumes and starts measuring drawdown again.
You can also choose to stop trading completely until you restart the EA.
Drawdown is measured from peak balance by default, so giving back open profit does not trigger the stop.
Trend Grid — Make More of Strong Trends
Each strategy has its own optional Trend Grid.
How It Works
A strategy opens a buy or sell trade.
Gold moves into profit by your chosen step in dollars.
If the H1 trend agrees, the EA adds another position.
Each new position gets its own stop-loss, locked in profit at the previous entry, and shares the original trade’s take-profit.
More positions can be added up to your chosen limit.
Grid Settings for Each Strategy
- On or off.
- Step size in dollars.
- Maximum number of added positions.
- Lot multiplier for each added position.
- Shared settings: trend filter, maximum total lots, profit lock, and spread limit.
Trend Grid is disabled by default. Added positions increase the amount traded and therefore increase risk. If gold reverses, the extra positions can reduce profit or increase losses.
Visible Stop-Loss and Take-Profit
Every trade carries a stop-loss and take-profit on the broker’s server.
If a strategy has not set one itself, the EA adds an ATR-based level. Labelled lines on the chart show each trade’s strategy name, stop-loss, and take-profit.
Trading Dashboard
The dashboard shows:
- Balance, equity, today’s profit, and open profit, in money and %.
- Account, drawdown, and money management status.
- Today’s economic news.
- Three columns for short-term, medium-term, and long/swing strategies, each with closed profit and return, trades and win rate, open trades and lots, floating profit, today’s profit, and drawdown share.
- Each strategy’s profit, trade count, lots, and status (trading, off, or left out by the risk profile).
The panel uses a larger font and scales automatically to fit your chart.
News and Spread Filters
MT5 economic calendar support.
High-impact news filtering with adjustable pauses before and after events.
NFP and FOMC day controls.
Options to remove pending orders or close trades during news.
Friday trading controls.
Adaptive spread monitoring.
Some news features work differently in backtesting compared with live trading.
Works with Standard and Cent Accounts
Bullion Ladder detects cent accounts automatically and adjusts its calculations.
Cent accounts are useful for starting with smaller amounts, where the broker supports suitable contract sizes.
Recommended EA Settings

| Chart Timeframe | Any |

How the EA Works
Starting with the default settings, the EA automatically selects strategies based on your account balance. Smaller accounts may run only one or two strategies, while additional strategies may become available as your balance grows or you select a higher risk profile.
Important Risk Disclaimer
These settings are starting recommendations, not proven or optimized configurations. Even minimum-lot trades on gold can carry significant risk, depending on the stop-loss distance, market volatility, and your broker’s contract specifications.
Always test the EA on a demo account before trading live.

Built for Longer-Term Account Growth
Bullion Ladder is not designed to make traders rich overnight.
Gold has good days, bad days, and periods when the market does not move as expected. The EA trades by rules rather than emotions, across several timeframes and strategy styles.
The goal is steady, longer-term account growth, although profits are never guaranteed and losses are part of trading. Do not expect profits every day or every week.
Future Development
Bullion Ladder MT5 is an ongoing project. More strategies, settings, and improvements are planned, with the focus on longer-term trading and risk control. Future updates and release dates are not guaranteed.

Important Risk Warning
Bullion Ladder MT5 does not guarantee profits.
Trading gold involves risk, and you can lose some or all of your trading account.
Risk profiles and drawdown limits are based on estimates. Actual drawdown can exceed the chosen limit because of gaps, slippage, or fast markets.
Stop-loss orders, trailing stops, news filters, and other safety settings cannot prevent every loss.
Trend Grid can increase profits when trades move in the right direction, but it can also increase losses when the market reverses.
Past results and backtests do not guarantee future results.
Every trader is responsible for their own settings and risk management.
Always test the EA on a demo account before trading with real money.
