Wyckoff Range Trader Pro — rules-based Wyckoff range trading for MetaTrader 5
Wyckoff Range Trader Pro turns the classic Wyckoff framework into objective, closed-bar
rules. It works on one chart and one symbol, builds a trading range from confirmed
pivots, classifies it as accumulation, distribution, reaccumulation, redistribution or
neutral, and then waits for a specific Wyckoff event before it trades: a Spring, an
Upthrust / UTAD, a Sign of Strength or a Sign of Weakness.
A setup is only taken after a test, a backup (LPS / LPSY) or a confirmation break, and
only when an explainable 0–100 score clears the minimum you set. The EA is deliberately
selective: quiet periods with no trades are normal and intended.
Everything the EA thinks is visible on the chart: the range box, the support and
resistance zones, phase-A markers (PS, SC, AR, ST), event arrows, the six score
components, the planned entry, stop and target — and the exact sentence explaining why
the last signal was accepted or rejected.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
HOW IT TRADES
----------------------------------------------------------------------
- Closed candles only. No repainting, no look-ahead, no unconfirmed pivots. The forming
candle is used only for spread, execution, break-even and trailing.
- Support and resistance are treated as zones with ATR-adaptive tolerance, not as single
lines. Once a range is adopted its boundaries stay stable.
- Volume and effort-versus-result analysis: candle spread, closing location, relative
volume, absorption, rejection wicks and follow-through, all normalised to the symbol
and timeframe, never to fixed absolute thresholds.
- Higher-timeframe context is used as context (trend, slope, location inside the range),
not as a naive "must already trend my way" filter — Wyckoff reversals start before the
new trend is visible.
- Structural stops: below the spring low, above the upthrust high, behind the backup,
plus an ATR buffer, validated against the broker's stop and freeze levels.
- Targets from the opposite range boundary, a measured range projection, confirmed
structure or a fixed R multiple, filtered by a minimum reward-to-risk ratio.
- Market orders only, after confirmation. No pending orders are left behind after a
restart, and the EA does not chase price beyond a configurable ATR distance.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
RISK AND MONEY MANAGEMENT
----------------------------------------------------------------------
- Position size is calculated from the real stop distance, tick value, contract
specification and account currency. Volume is never rounded up to fit a risk target;
if the broker minimum lot would exceed your cap, the trade is skipped and the reason
is logged.
- Sizing modes: percent of equity (default), percent of balance, fixed money, fixed lot.
- Protection: maximum risk per trade, maximum open account risk, daily realised loss,
daily and weekly equity drawdown, consecutive losses, trades per day, trades per
range, maximum simultaneous positions, cool-down after a loss or an execution error.
- Daily counters use broker server time and survive terminal restarts.
- Management: break-even with offset, ATR or confirmed-swing structure trailing,
optional partial profit, time exit, no-progress exit, Wyckoff-premise invalidation
exit, Friday flat-out and optional session-end exit. A stop is never widened.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
SAFETY AND TRANSPARENCY
----------------------------------------------------------------------
- No martingale, no grid, no averaging down, no loss-recovery logic.
- No DLL, no external executables, no WebRequest, no licensing server, no account-number
lock, no machine binding, no hidden expiry.
- Trades only the chart symbol — no hidden symbol trading.
- Honours the terminal AutoTrading switch and all account/symbol trading permissions.
- Hedging and netting accounts are handled explicitly: on a netting account the EA
refuses to trade while an unrelated position exists on the symbol, instead of
modifying someone else's exposure.
- Full broker validation before every order: filling mode, volume step, stop level,
freeze level, spread, margin, market state. Limited, controlled retries only on
transient errors, with duplicate-position protection.
- Instance isolation by symbol + timeframe + magic number, so several instances and
your manual trades never interfere with each other.
- Three modes: Full trading, Alerts only, Analysis only.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
RECOMMENDED USE
----------------------------------------------------------------------
- Default: H1 signal timeframe with H4 context. H4/D1 for a slower profile.
- Suitable markets: major FX pairs, gold and liquid index CFDs with adequate history and
reasonable spreads. One instance per symbol, each with its own magic number.
- Start in Analysis only mode to see how ranges and events are detected on your broker's
data, then Alerts only, then demo trading.
- Example presets are included as starting points only. They are not optimised settings
and they are not guaranteed to suit your broker or your risk tolerance.
- Account size: choose a balance where your chosen risk per trade (0.25–0.5 % is the
suggested starting range) is comfortably larger than the money risked by the broker's
minimum volume at a typical stop distance; otherwise the EA will correctly refuse most
trades. This is a position-sizing requirement, not a performance statement.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
IMPORTANT NOTES
----------------------------------------------------------------------
- On most forex brokers MetaTrader 5 reports tick volume, not centralised exchange
volume. The EA detects a reliable real-volume feed automatically and otherwise uses
tick volume, and the panel always states which stream is in use. Tick volume differs
between brokers, so results differ between brokers.
- Wyckoff analysis is probabilistic and interpretive. This product implements objective
approximations of concepts that discretionary traders normally judge manually. It does
not claim to replicate an expert analyst or to identify any market participant.
- This EA is an analytical and automated execution tool, not financial advice. Trading
involves substantial risk of loss. Past performance, including any backtest, is not
indicative of future results. No profit, win rate or drawdown level is promised.
- Test the EA on your own broker, symbols and account type before using it with real
money, use conservative risk settings, avoid excessive leverage, and begin on a demo
or small-risk account.
