EdgeReplay — Manual Backtesting Trainer
Most backtesting isn’t practice — it’s a spreadsheet, or a static chart with arrows drawn on it after the fact. A demo account doesn’t fix this either: watching a thousand setups go by teaches you nothing repeatable. Until you’ve actually pulled the trigger, moved your stop, and lived with what happens next, you haven’t practiced — you’ve only watched.
EdgeReplay turns any historical period on your own broker’s symbols into a live, candle-by-candle replay — so you trade the past exactly as if it were happening now, with your own analysis, your own indicators, your own working chart.
How it works
Attach EdgeReplay to any chart — forex, metals, indices, synthetics, anything your broker offers. Pick the exact date window you want to relive, set your starting balance and risk per trade, and the EA rebuilds that slice of history as its own custom replay symbol, without touching your original chart. You land on the very first candle of that window, with everything still ahead of you.
Trade it like a real session
Play / Pause / Step one candle at a time, or push the speed up to x1000 to replay a week of price action in minutes
Buy, Sell, Limit and Stop orders, placed exactly like a live broker — filled, rejected, or triggered the same way
Entry, Stop Loss and Take Profit drawn as colored risk/reward zones directly on the chart, sized to what’s actually at stake
Risk-based position sizing (risk % of balance, not a fixed lot) with the stop distance driving the lot size
Break-even, manual close, and a built-in Trade History window listing every trade — ticket by ticket, nothing lost, nothing rewritten after the fact
Honest feedback, not just more screen time
Every session feeds a built-in dashboard: win rate, profit factor, expectancy in R, a full equity curve, drawdown, and a breakdown by hour, weekday and setup tag. It’s the piece most backtesting never gives you — a clear read on exactly what you just did.
