News Calendar MB reads the built-in MetaTrader 5 Economic Calendar and shows only the news that matters for the symbol on your chart.
What it shows
- Vertical lines and labels at the release time of each event (colored by importance)
- A compact panel with upcoming events, countdown, forecast and previous values
- Expected price range zones around news releases, based on ATR, event importance and a per-event weight (NFP, FOMC, CPI, GDP, PMI, etc.). Events released close together are merged into one zone
- Tooltips with actual / forecast / previous values
How the currencies are chosen
- Base, profit and margin currency of the symbol (for example XAUUSD -> USD; BTCUSD -> USD)
- Add more currencies with the "Extra currencies" input
Inputs (grouped): Calendar, Chart objects, Panel, Expected price range zones, Event weights, Diagnostics.
Notes
- The indicator does not trade, uses no DLL and no WebRequest. It relies only on the terminal's built-in Economic Calendar, which requires an internet connection to the broker.
- The Economic Calendar is not available in the Strategy Tester, so the indicator shows a status message there. Use a live or demo chart.
- Range zones are statistical estimates from volatility, not predictions or trading signals. Past volatility does not guarantee future price movement.
