Monster Breakout Index V2 is a clean, visual momentum indicator engineered to spot potential breakout opportunities by evaluating extreme price extensions against median historical range channels.

Overview

The indicator continuously monitors the median price across a configurable lookback window and compares it against current high and low extremes. When price expansion breaks out of the established median bounds, MBI V2 immediately plots distinct histogram bars in a separate window, allowing traders to quickly spot volatility spikes without cluttering their main charts.

Trading Signals

• Buy Signal (Turquoise Bar): Triggers when the current bar's High breaks above the highest median price over the input period.

• Sell Signal (Goldenrod Bar): Triggers when the current bar's Low breaks below the lowest median price over the input period.

Input Parameters

• MbiPeriod (Default: 12): The lookback period used to calculate the highest and lowest median price bounds.

  • Lower values (e.g., 6–10): Increased sensitivity for scalp setups and short-term volatility detection.

  • Higher values (e.g., 20–50): Filtered signals focusing on strong trend continuations and macro breakouts.

How to Use

1. Attach MBI V2 to any MT5 chart.

2. Use histogram spikes as confirmation for momentum entry setups, trend continuation entries, or break-and-retest strategies.

3. Combine with key support/resistance levels or moving averages to filter out choppy, range-bound environments.
