FXsos Gold Bot is an Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 4, designed for gold (XAUUSD) on the M5 chart. It combines trend and range trading and manages its trades automatically.

Main features

- Trend and range trading in one EA, with separate trade-size controls.

- Internal protection can pause a trade group when its recent behavior is weak and resume it when conditions improve.

- Automated stop-loss requests and trade-exit management.

- No martingale, grid or averaging strategy.

Stop-loss and execution behavior

The EA requests stop-loss protection for its trades. Some broker execution modes require an order to be opened first and its protective levels to be attached afterward. The EA attempts to attach that protection; if protection fails, it requests closure of the trade and continues handling the pending execution. Broker rejection, connection loss or market conditions can delay a stop update or closure. A stop loss does not guarantee an execution price or limit the loss to an exact amount.

Recommended setup

- Platform: MetaTrader 4.

- Symbol and timeframe: XAUUSD (gold), M5. Gold names with suffixes and GOLD are recognized automatically; confirm your broker's instrument and contract specifications.

- Use one chart for this EA. Keep the terminal connected during trading hours; a VPS can help with continuity.

- Review your broker's spread, trading costs, minimum lot size, margin requirements and execution conditions.

- On startup, allow the EA to process the available chart history before reviewing its operating status.

- Check the EA in Strategy Tester and on a demo account with your broker's conditions before considering live use. Suitable capital and settings depend on the account and contract specifications.

Input parameters

- Risk level (RiskLevel), default 10. The main trade-size multiplier: 10 is standard, 5 is half, and 15 is 1.5 times. Accepted values are above 0 through 30. This value is not a fixed percentage-of-balance risk cap.

- Trend trades (TrendLevel), default 10. An additional trade-size multiplier for trend trades: 10 is normal and 0 disables them. Accepted values: 0 through 30.

- Flat (range) trades (FlatLevel), default 10. An additional trade-size multiplier for range trades: 10 is normal and 0 disables them. Accepted values: 0 through 30. Trend trades and Flat trades cannot both be set to 0.

- Magic number (MagicNumber), default 26111000. Identifies the EA's orders. Avoid a number already used by another EA on the same account.

- Show info panel (ShowPanel), default true. Displays operating status, risk settings, balance and results on the chart.

Risk warning

Leveraged gold trading carries a high level of risk and can cause large losses and substantial drawdowns. Trade sizes depend on the strategy, account conditions and selected multipliers.
