- Last 12 months (17 Oct 2025 - 16 Oct 2026, not used to choose the settings): +17.1%, max drawdown 4.1%.
- 2021-2026 full period: about 20% a year, max drawdown 16.1%.
You can lower the risk to 1% in the inputs: last 12 months +8.4%, max drawdown 2.0%; full period about 10% a year, max drawdown 8.4%.
What it does
A trend-following EA for gold.
- Entry: EMA 9 crosses EMA 21 on H4, only when the daily close is on the same side of the daily EMA 100.
- Stop loss = 3 x ATR(14) on every trade. The trade closes on the opposite cross (optional fixed take profit and break-even).
- One trade at a time. Risk per trade in % of balance (default 2%) or a fixed lot.
- No grid, no martingale, no hedging, no DLLs.
Activity: about 30 trades a year (2-3 a month). Trades can last from hours to several weeks.

Risk 1%: last 12 months $1,000 -> $1,084 | $10,000 -> $10,838 | max DD 2.0%. Full 2021-2026: $10,000 -> $17,340, max DD 8.4%.
Risk 2% (default): last 12 months $1,000 -> $1,171 | $10,000 -> $11,707 | max DD 4.1%. Full 2021-2026: $10,000 -> $28,829, max DD 16.1%.
Risk 3%: last 12 months $1,000 -> $1,260 | $10,000 -> $12,605 | max DD 6.1%. Full 2021-2026: $10,000 -> $46,098, max DD 23.2%.

Things to know
- Many months have no trade or a small loss; most of the profit comes from a few long trends.
- Higher risk raises drawdowns: above 3-4% risk, drawdowns of 30% or more appeared in testing.
- Built for gold: on US30 / NAS100 it was flat to negative in testing. On non-gold symbols, after 5 days without a trade it may also take a cross against the daily trend (input, can be switched off). Gold always uses the daily filter.
