Gold Momentum Hedge EA (MT4)

Gold Momentum Hedge EA is a fully automated Expert Advisor for XAUUSD (Gold), available for both MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5. It enters the market only after a strong momentum candle forms, then manages every trade with a stop-loss and hedge-reversal system. It also includes capital-protection tools.

How it works

Candle Trigger Entry: The EA waits until the current candle’s range (High to Low) reaches the minimum size (default 500 pips). A bullish candle opens a BUY and a bearish candle opens a SELL. Only one new cycle can start per candle.

Stop Loss and Hedge Reversal: Every trade has a stop loss (default 100 pips). An opposite hedge order is prepared at the stop-loss level. If the stop loss is hit, the hedge becomes the active trade and a new hedge is prepared, so the cycle continues in the new direction.

Breakeven and Trailing: When a trade reaches +100 pips, the stop loss moves to breakeven and then trails the price. The hedge level follows the stop loss.

Virtual Stop Loss and Hedge

As an option, the stop loss and the hedge can be managed virtually by the EA. When price reaches the virtual level, the EA closes the trade and opens the reversal itself.

A wider emergency stop loss is always placed on the server for safety, in case the terminal or connection goes offline.

Protection Features

SL Streak Zone: After 3 stop losses in a row, the EA builds a ±500 pip zone and pauses trading until price breaks out of it.

Daily Equity Target: When equity rises by the set percentage, all trades are closed. Trading resumes on the next server day from the updated equity.

Max Daily Loss: New trades and hedges stop once the daily loss limit is reached.

Lot Recovery: If equity falls 1% below the day’s starting equity, the lot size increases by 0.01. It returns to normal once the day’s loss is recovered.

Trading Hours: One start and end time, in server time.

Spread Filter: No new trades when the spread is above the limit (default 15 pips).

Dashboard and Chart

A colorful on-chart panel shows the status, position, stop loss, hedge, floating P/L, SL streak, zone, lot size, daily progress, balance, equity, spread and trading hours.

A live label next to the current candle shows the open trade’s profit or loss in money and pips.

The virtual stop loss and the zone levels are drawn on the chart.

Platform Notes

MetaTrader 4: Works on standard MT4 accounts.

MetaTrader 5: A hedging account is recommended. Netting accounts are supported in virtual SL mode.

Both versions have the same strategy, inputs and dashboard.

MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5, symbol XAUUSD

A VPS is recommended so the EA can run continuously.

Check the pip size of your broker’s gold symbol. Use the Pip size input if needed (gold is usually 0.1).
