FlowPulse Market Pressure
FlowPulse Market Pressure is an adaptive market pressure indicator designed for MetaTrader 5.
Instead of relying on a single traditional indicator, FlowPulse combines several market components into one normalized Market Pressure Score ranging from -100 to +100.
The indicator evaluates price action, trend structure, momentum, volatility and tick-volume behavior to provide a clearer view of current bullish or bearish market pressure.
FlowPulse does not automatically execute trades. It is an analytical tool designed to help traders evaluate market conditions and confirm their own trading decisions.

MARKET PRESSURE SCORE
The core of FlowPulse is the Market Pressure Score.
The indicator combines several independent components and normalizes the result into a range between:
+100 = Maximum Bullish Pressure
0 = Neutral Market Pressure
-100 = Maximum Bearish Pressure
Positive values indicate increasing bullish pressure, while negative values indicate increasing bearish pressure.
Values close to zero indicate relatively balanced or neutral conditions.
MULTI-FACTOR ANALYSIS
FlowPulse analyzes five main market components.
1. Candle Body Pressure
The indicator measures the relationship between the candle body and the complete candle range.
This helps evaluate the directional strength of each candle.
2. Close Location
FlowPulse analyzes where the candle closes within its high-low range.
A close near the upper part of the candle contributes to bullish pressure, while a close near the lower part contributes to bearish pressure.
3. EMA Trend Structure
A Fast EMA and Slow EMA are used to evaluate the underlying trend structure.
The EMA distance is normalized using ATR so that the calculation can adapt better to different volatility conditions.
Default settings:
Fast EMA: 12
Slow EMA: 34
4. Tick-Volume Expansion
FlowPulse compares current tick volume with its recent average.
Volume expansion can be used as an additional confirmation condition when identifying stronger market pressure.
5. Momentum
Recent price movement is measured relative to ATR.
This allows momentum to contribute to the final pressure calculation while accounting for current market volatility.
ADAPTIVE VOLATILITY FILTER
Market conditions constantly change.
FlowPulse uses ATR to evaluate volatility and can filter pressure signals when current volatility is below the configured requirement.
This helps prevent every pressure movement from automatically becoming a signal.
SIGNAL SYSTEM
By default, strong pressure conditions are evaluated around:
Bullish Pressure: +55
Bearish Pressure: -55
When the Market Pressure Score crosses the configured threshold and the required filters are satisfied, FlowPulse can display a bullish or bearish pressure signal.
Signals are confirmed using completed candles to reduce changes caused by an unfinished candle.
The signal threshold can be adjusted by the user.
PRESSURE HISTOGRAM
FlowPulse is displayed in a separate indicator window.
The histogram provides a simple visual representation of market pressure:
Positive area = Bullish pressure
Negative area = Bearish pressure
Near zero = Neutral or balanced pressure
Reference levels help traders quickly evaluate the strength and direction of the current pressure reading.
MARKET DASHBOARD
FlowPulse also includes a compact information dashboard.
The dashboard displays:
- Current Pressure Score
- Volatility condition
- EMA trend direction
- Current Market State
Possible Market State classifications include:
Strong Bullish
Bullish
Neutral
Bearish
Strong Bearish
CUSTOMIZABLE CALCULATION
Advanced users can modify the contribution of individual components to the final Market Pressure Score.
Configurable weights include:
- Candle Body Weight
- Close Location Weight
- Trend Weight
- Volume Weight
- Momentum Weight
This allows traders to adapt the indicator to different trading approaches and market conditions.
ALERTS
FlowPulse includes optional alert functionality.
Available options include:
- MT5 popup alerts
- Push notifications

Alerts are disabled by default and can be enabled in the indicator settings.
